Wanted: A new direction…

TVNewser notes today’s Newsweek article on Bob Wright looking for a “News Czar” and interviewing several prominent high profile media people for positions at NBC and/or its ancillaries. While the fact there is a search going on is news of a sort, ICN is somewhat underwhelmed. The reason for this sedate reaction is that it isn’t known what exactly these people would be doing if they came on board. There are way too many generalities in this article to give the story concrete resonance. That there would be restructuring would be news. But without the other shoe dropping…i.e. what form the restructuring would take and what changes would be made, it’s hard to get too excited over the story.
