The ratings tell the story. Fox does have what it takes to leave the basic cable competition behind and take on the broadcast networks.

CNN was nowhere near being "really close in everything" on Monday as somebody above wrote. I just went to tvnewser and on Monday fox's lead was a million viewers in total day and 750,000 in primeitme. Really close is between 10,000-25,000 viewers, not 1,000,000 viewers.

fox news came so close to taking the lead from the weather channel, the're so definitely going to wreak havoc on the broadcast networks next.

Based on the ratings, it's obvious that fox is in another ratings universe than CNN and the other cable news networks. I bet they're going to start beating broadcast networks next.

Looks like fox beat CNN and msnbc combined. I know some folks out here want CNN to do better, but they just aren't. CNn needs a new president who understands how to program to the cable news audience.

But TVNewser posted the ratings for Monday and it appears CNN was really close in everything and actually beat Fox in the primetime 25-54 demo!

Man, I just saw the aftermath and it completely blew me away. I honestly expected CNN to have a better ratings jump because of their massive reasources but still FNC is blowing everyone away.

Steve Harrigan leads fox to a ratings victory. Having said that, I hope everyone in the region gets the help they need, and are safe.
