8 people shot in New Orleans…
News is breaking from the AP that eight people were shot carrying weapons on a bridge in New Orleans killing five or six ot them. I was on FOX when they announced it, flipped over to MSNBC and they were reporting it already, flipped over to CNN and they were in commercial break.
UPDATE: Johnny Dollar notes a rare win for MSNBC in breaking a story. FOX announced it 2nd, and CNN third….

MSNBC first, Fox about 40 seconds later, CNN bringing up the rear. Not factoring the MSNBC “delay”. ;)

Three cheers for MSNBC not being on tape! They looked like maroons when the Rehnquist story broke last night.

This blog isn’t about the news but the news about the news. And it does have certain aspects of sport. It is certainly a fierce competition where bragging rights are always on the line. And believe me these news orgs do care about such things…

Maroons? Did they change color or something?
And I’d like to point out that Fox News was LAST in reporting the death of Supreme Court Justice Rehquinst last night. Wonder what that made them?
