Connected out at 5 pm permanently?
I’m hearing that MSNBC has cancelled the afternoon edition of Connected: Coast To Coast and it will be replaced by Hardball. Can anyone confirm this?
UPDATE: According to information I’ve received, Hardball will now be live at 5 pm and then run taped at 7 pm.
Hardball is on MSNBC right now.

It was announced last week that Coast to Coast would NOT air this week. Hardball was on air yesterday and is on air today and for remainder of the week at 5pm and 7pm ET. (don’t know what aired monday).

I was the one who announced it last week that Hardball would be on instead of Connected this week so I’m aware of this. But total cancellation was another matter entirely…

Someone needs to pull the plug on it, for sure. Just how many bad programming decisions is Rick Kaplan going to be allowed to get away with before they finally fire him? Oh–and Monica Crowley has been MIA for two weeks now. Is she still with MSNBC?

Hardball at 5 and then a rerun all of one hour after the first-run episode ends? I think they would have done better to leave Connected in there! Now they’re doing nightly reruns in the crucial early prime timeslot.

They need to get a newscast in there, either a daily hour with Chris Jansing or add another hour onto MSNBC Live.
