Ouch…

Sophia Choi Headline News anchor Sophia Choi appeared on her shift today for the first time this week with her arm in a sling. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a news anchor with their arm in a sling before…not at the national level. It has probably happened before but I just don’t remember it. I missed the start of Choi’s HLN shift. Did they announce how this happened or what got injured?

  1. Is CNN Headline News actually considered national news? It looks like local news, it feels like local news, most of the “anchors” are from local news, and it’s writing and production values are those of local news.

  2. At least it’s not shilling 24/7 for BushCo.

  3. HLN is one of the best run networks! And they actually have decent news on. Unlike CNN, MSNBC, and FNC. I only watch those at certain times…HLN can be on 24/7 without having to turn the channel.

  4. I loved it when CNN hired that television actress Andrea Thompson to pose as their lead anchor on HLN, and then those nudie pictures of her came out as they were promoting the relaunch of the network and her hire. That was hysterical.

  5. They once hired somebody from MTV’s “The Real World” as a reporter. You’ve gotta admit, that the bar is set pretty low there.

  6. It’s SO local news. I remember when their travel “reproter” gave out tips to all their American viewers on how illegally enter the country of Cuba. It was unreal.

  7. The bar is pretty low at FOX considering they have Geraldo and O’Reilly… one used to host a tabloid network show and the other is nothing better than a common talk show host who pretends to be a journalist.

  8. Fox? What does Fox have to do with CNN Headline News and Sophia Choi? Really, you’ve got to learn to stay on topic, Nobody. Not all threads are invitations for you to bash Fox which, by the way, is boring at this point. Take it somewhere else.

Sophia Choi was our local CBS anchor in Los Angelels and she was great, and a very good investigative reporter. It was a loss when she left Los Angelels for CNN Headline News. I hope she gets better soon.

  9. I’m not a FNC basher, you have me mixed up with “anonymous #1-#10″. Geraldo has quite a resume. “Rivera is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Brooklyn Law School and is the author of seven books.”

  10. And it’s not like the Fox lovers ever bash any of the other networks! (Sarcasm ON).

  11. Wow, the FNC lovers are so high strung. Even the folks I know personally that watch FNC are just like the folks on here. They always seem to think they are right and are not willing to what anyone else has to say. Pretty sad to live a life like that.

  12. So… no one heard how Sophia Choi hurt herself?

  13. I bet if you e-mail the network they may say something about it on the air.
