I’d been debating on whether to comment on this story because the problem as I saw it was only one channel was covering the story in any great detail and that was FNC. At 2:30 pm EST, when I first tuned in to FNC and saw the first images of the disturbances in Toledo, I did the mandatory immediate channel surfing to see who else was on the story. CNN and MSNBC both were not airing what FNC was airing…both were running tape. Plus I had to leave at 2:45 for an appointment so I couldn’t stay around and watch. And though this story was still developing, FNC was already recycling one particular clip over and over showing a mob attacking and looting what appeared to be a gas station.

I returned at 6pm and found some mail in my in box regarding the story and also noticed some controversy with some email complaining about some of TVNewser’s comments on the story.
