MSNBC adds Scarborough Country to afternoon lineup…drops Market Wrap/MSNBC Live.

According to my ReplayTV Guide, starting Monday MSNBC will be airing Scarborough Country at 4 pm EST instead of Market Wrap/MSNBC Live. I don’t get the thinking behind this move. Now MSNBC will have two programs that air twice (Hardball and Scarborough Country) and no more business update. And there will be less live news.

UPDATE: It’s possible that Scarborough Country will air twice live. No way to know at this point.

The Situation: The best show on television?

The Benton Courier’s Richard Duke seems to think so….

The Situation with Tucker Carlson” may seem like another head-talking, finger-wagging, left vs. right screamfest, but it’s not. It may seem like a light version of “The O’Reilly Factor,” but it’s not. It may seem like a lot of things that it is not, especially in the vast cable wasteland of endless news shows on endless news channels, but “The Situation” defies stereotypes. It’s timely, funny, engaging, smart, informative and ultimately very entertaining.

“The Situation” should not be confused with CNN’s “The Situation Room,” hosted by Wolf “so poor, so black” Blitzer. Both shows deal with the inner goings-on of Washington, but Blitzer’s show is still stuck in the mud with the same talking heads, while “The Situation” is more concerned with providing news and entertainment.
