Tornado coverage…

I was out until 4 am this morning attending a concert so I slept through the Tornado coverage this morning. I did get this from an emailer…

Window madness? MSNBC has basically owned the tornado coverage. FNC had decent video this morning too. But, CNN had the worse video i’ve ever seen with the awful box action. Look at this! Then at 10 CNN goes to Reliable Sources, followed by two hours of Blitzer. Now, they’re showing a replay of On the Story…

Whither a windfall profits tax?

FNC business anchor Terry Keenan pens an Opinion piece in The NY Post….

While waiting in line to fill up, I find myself wondering how a major American corporation can routinely price gouge on a fuel that for me and millions of Americans is a virtual necessity.

I mean, I can’t even get myself to work without it.

But prices have been going up lately — and at a big fat 59 percent, the company’s gross profit margin is now clearly obscene.

Come to think of it, I’m going to write my congressman. Lawmakers need to hold hearings into why Starbucks can continue to ring up windfall profits quarter after quarter on a confection of caffeine, sugar and foam. A coffee-profits tax is surely in order.
