Huddy and Jerrick to host Fox Broadcast show?

FTVLive scoops that FNC’s Juliet Huddy and Mike Jerrick are front runners to host a new FOX Broadcast Network Morning Show to maybe begin airing in late summer this year. Does this signal a possibility that Linda Vester will return to Dayside?

  1. Vester SHOULD be first in line but she has to realize being away and having very popular replacement hosts does pose an interesting set of decisions at FNC. Whether those replacements go elsewhere or not doesn’t negate the fact that the show did do very well with two “UN-Vester” like hosts.

  2. I was never a Linda Vester fan. Her personal qualities eluded me, though I know others didn’t share my opinion. Mike and Juliet are more appealing to me.
The whole idea opens a world of speculation and possible alternatives. What fun!
However my choice for the morning show would be Steve, E.D. and Brian.

  3. Should Mike and Juliet leave “DaySide” for this broadcast morning gig at Fox, I nominate Uma Pemmaraju to become the new headliner on “DaySide.” She bring that certain air of professionalism to the job. I think that is lacking in Juliet Huddy.

  4. Huge Fox News fan, but those two are the most obnoxious on TV…..It almost makes me want to watch CNN for an hour…
    (Not really)

  6. I miss Vester as well, but I think that Jerrick and Huddy have held their own.
That said, if Vester gets her spot back, I will be there for sure.

  7. I don’t believe the FTV story: Roger Ailes has never allowed FNC to compete against “Big Fox” with similar shows so a Mike and Juliet clone of Fox and Friends doesn’t make much sense.

The more likely scenario is an afternoon or late morning show although Big Fox recently failed with a similar venture that featured FNC alumnus Arthel Neville.

  8. If they still hold on to the original plans, the FOX morning show wouldn’t start until 9 am or so. It wouldn’t even try to contend with the big 3. Instead, they’d try to go after the talkers, people like Regis.

There are *better* people they could choose, but M&J can hold their own fairly well. Maybe they could steal their old weekend partner, Julien Phillips, just so we can get him off off F&F Weekend. :)

  9. Hairy (#5) seems to find fault with seeing the same faces everywhere. Gee, I wonder how he thinks the man in his mirror feels?

  11. I just wanted to tell Juliet that I am a make-up artist for Clinique here in Jacksonville and would love a chance to make her up for my portfolio if shes in town anytime.
