A Campaign to push King Out of CNN?
The Romenesko letters page features a letter by someone who thinks this sudden barrage of negative press on Larry King (see here and here for two recent examples) is not just a coincidence but part of a campaign to push King out of CNN early.
The stories all note that King is still CNN’s highest-rated program and that losing it would create “problems” for CNN Chief Jon Klein. But as one who has spent his adult life either working in television news or being paid to analyze the comings and goings, it appears — somewhat obviously — that the CNN chiefs are seeding the rumor mills in preparation of dumping King and putting someone more demographically acceptable into the time slot.

Sounds like a right wing conspiracy to me. Yep, the FNC PR folks.

King’s a joke. Why don’t you just blame BO for it?

What will go there? Hour 3 of AC360 or the equally charismatic Wolf Blitzer? C’mon CNN.

Because I was marginally interested in Liza Minelli, I watched portions of last night’s Larry King show. ( I remember her when ….)
It was hard to decide which of these two was on more shaky ground. There was some unease simmering beneath the whole thing and in me.

In the opinion of many, Larry King is no loss to formidable news.
