The Olbermann/O’Reilly feud goes mainstream…
When Bill O’Reilly started fighting back at the end of January in the feud between Keith Olbermann and himself, I argued that it could blow up in his face because it would draw even more attention to the spat from areas which would not normally be paying attention to a one sided Olbermann only spat. It appears my appraisal was accurate. Entertainment Weekly has now chronicled the Olbermann/O’Reilly feud. (via TVSquad)
In the print edition only: Ken Tucker reviews Batman Beyond and Justice League, and there’s a handy guide to the Keith Olbermann and Bill O’Reilly (EW picks Olbermann as the winner so far).

I predicted this fiasco loooong ago. Bill is gonna resemble that tiny tape recorder that appeared at the start of all the old “Mission Impossible” TV episodes. The reels were spinning dialogue that ALWAYS wound up self destructing. “The mission, Mr. O’Rielly, if you decide to accept it, is to try and salvage some sliver of respectablilty from all this hoop-la that you have brought upon yourself as you sit high atop Mt. Olympus(FNC) and pontificate to your, seemingly, endless number of mindless yet dwindling groupies that feed off of your bloated ego.” Me, bitter? No way. Why do you ask? By the way….Keith sucks too!

Doesn’t the term “feud” indicate that BOTH parties must be engaged in the “back and forth”? Our resident counter of such things (Johnny Dollar) has indicated that Olbermann has gone after O’Reilly 70+ times, I believe. And O’Reilly has retaliated (without mentioning Olbermann by name, I might add) MAYBE 2 or 3 times. So where is the “feud”?
And BTW, is anyone surprised that the media is blowing this out of proportion? Have they EVER said anything positive about O’Reilly?

You’re right–we need some “good news” about O’Reilly, the media’s just not reporting it, as usual. I mean the guy made a $10 million donation to a woman’s charity and was so humble he told no one to ever talk about it again. And he loves Christmas trees.

He loves himself and his ratings in that order. All else is done to promote the afore mentioned items. AND…”so humble he told no one to ever talk about it again.”… Don’t you know HE knew people like you would talk about it? C’mon museglet…wake up and smell the finely spun coffee Bill is serving up. Oh yes it’s being served by “he of little spinning”. But I guess I’m just a small time “bomb thrower” whose unworthy of mention by “El Supremo”.
