Dobbs on CBS?!?!

CNN’s Lou Dobbs made an appearance on CBS’s The Early Show this morning to talk about the Immigration issue. I can’t recall the last time I saw a personality from a rival news network on another network’s program to discuss new stories.

  1. I believe he was on “The Chris Matthews Show” the other day.

  2. It’s not that big of a deal. I’ve seen Fox anchors several times discussing news on the more popular morning programs, such as Good Morning America.

  3. Hannity was discussing immigration on Good Morning America within the past few weeks. Shocked me since I thought an anchor or contributor from one network would appear on another only when he/she had a book to sell.

  4. I’ve seen Bill O’Reilly on The Today Show and Good Morning America. And he didn’t talk about his books; he discussed news and topics of the day.

  5. How is that different from everyone showing up on Reliable Sources?

  7. I agree with the above - I think it is normal to apprear in other places.
But since when has Dobbs really gotten this hot into the big issues?
Did someone light a fire under him?

  8. He’s taking notes these days, word for word, from Michael Savage; CNN must be so proud!

  9. I guess I don’t watch much broadcast network morning news so I’m out of the loop on that. My bad. I’m usually on my way to work. But today I’m stayed home ill so that’s why I was watching this morning.

  10. CNN actually has a contractual agreement with CBS to share newsfeed, reporters and anchors. Thats why you see Anderson Cooper pop up on 60 minutes a few times a year, identical news packages with only the voiceover changed, a lot of cbs affiliates simulcasting CNN HLN overnight, etc.
