Grace declines in May…
Nancy Grace, another show that didn’t get highlighted by CNN, declined in May in both the Total Viewer and Demo categories; dropping nearly 25% in both categories since April.

The new HLN Prime schedule is what’s bringing her #s down along with Prime News. It was a mistake to move PNT to the 6pm timeslot. Can we have Showbiz Tonight back and the old schedule HLN?

It’s not a downward trend - yet. Hard to draw any conclusions - yet. The schedule was shaken up so recently that viewers haven’t had time to get used to it. Occasional viewers are still turning on the television to find something different than they were expecting. Give it at least three more months to see if it’s a real trend.

It appears May was a tough month for all the female anchors, particularly the ones doing the more sensational types of stores (Nancy, Greta, Rita, etc.). There are a couple of points to consider. First, there wasn’t much new news on these stories and so viewers probably tuned in elsewhere. Watch these ratings soar if Natalee or that groom lost on the cruise ship are ever found. Second, in Nancy’s case, I wonder if her Southern attack dog schtick is starting to get old. I guess she can take some comfort in the fact that on many nights she still beats Paula Zahn.
