Osama Bin Laden stuck his nose into the news cycle. FNC and MSNBC are discussing his new statement. CNN is sticking with the Shuttle for the moment.

You know, I know this bad to admit, but I really don’t care about the shuttle launch. I highly suspect that these networks don’t care about the launch either but just in case the dern thing blows up, they wanna be there. Also, these constant go/no go updates are stupid. If they aren’t launching until nearly 4:00 PM ET, the weather could change multiple times in FL. At some point, I feel sorry for these anchors who are spending their Saturday covering it (except for Miles O’Brien who clearly gets off on this stuff).
I had on Fox coverage this morning and it’s pretty bad when you’re relieved that they finally change the conversation to immigration.

Oh yea let’s talk immigration. That topic’s been around for months now. Too bad the other channels other than CNN don’t have the passion for space news coverage. Others do it because ‘they have to’…and it shows.

Yeah the launch story is pretty boring…can’t imagine many people are interested in watching a “successful” launch per-se, but rather a blow-up…

Cable News Watcher, I wish the best of luck in the removal of whatever large projectile is wedged up your arse.
