Lebanese Prime Minister Siniora on Larry King Live tonight..

The Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora will appear on Larry King Live tonight at 9pm ET. CNN released excerpt highlights from this interview which follow…

Prime Minister Siniora on speaking with President George W. Bush:

KING: We’re back with Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. He is in Beirut and we are in Los Angeles. And have you spoken, Mr. Prime Minister, to President Bush?

SINIORA: Yes, I did, actually, a few days ago. When he was in Europe I talked to him and that was following the trip I made to the United States and met with President Bush in May. And I sensed from President Bush real interest in moving towards real solutions.

I expressed to him my appreciation for the sympathy that he has expressed towards those who really died in Lebanon because of the Israeli aggression, and he expressed to me his desire in pursuing all efforts in order to reach a permanent solution for the problem that is being faced by Lebanon.

Hypocrisy, anyone?

An emailer writes in…

So O’Reilly is not allowed to talk about kids mimicking celebrities in videos posted on MySpace.com during a war in the middle east… or so says Willie Geist… but Scarborough gets a free pass for doing a brief segment last night about celebrity gossip s— at the end of his program last night?

Um…. Ok! I think they need to be careful on this Beat the Press segment… they can’t go about criticizing FOX or CNN, and then have a poison pill do the exact same thing on the same network that is doing the criticism… very hypocritical.

UPDATE: The MSNBC board noticed this too

Evacuated family reunited via phone on Larry King Live…

Tonight on Larry King Live, King’s guest, Amer Issa, received a cell phone call from his family live on air just as they had been evacuated from Lebanon to Cypress. Amer’s wife Rima was trapped in Lebanon with their 12-year-old daughter Farrah and their 9-year-old son Noureddine. Amer stayed back in Los Angeles. The three arrived in Lebanon June 15th and had were scheduled to leave August 19th. Issa feared that any delay in the evacuation of his 9-year-old son from Lebanon could mean his death because his son needs daily medication to prevent organ rejection after a liver transplant. But Issa’s wife spilled some of the medicine down the sink when a bomb recently shook her building leaving just a week’s supply. Transcript follows…

LARRY KING, CNN HOST: Before we check in with Senator Biden, Amer Issa has just heard from his wife, Rima. What is she saying?

AMER ISSA, WIFE EVACUATED FROM LEBANON: Actually, this is my daughter on the phone.

KING: Oh, your daughter. She’s there with her?
