Spud,
Thank you for using restraint and not lecturing everyone about how the press should cover this story. TVNewser’s “that bug is unnecessary,” “that graphic was wrong”-type criticism has been very trivial and annoying. I doubt many in the industry care how some 20 year-old kid who’s never worked in television thinks a major terrorism story should be covered.

I believe TVN criticized Fox’s “Terror in the Sky” banner. So what banner has MSNBC been using? “Terror in the Sky”!

#1 you’re absolutely right. While he might be right some of the time, it’s really annoying coming from a college dude who has ZERO TV experience.

Don’t be so quick to praise me. The fact is I’ve been out of the loop at work all day and haven’t been able to watch anything. And I won’t be able to watch tonight either. So I haven’t commented because, frankly, I’m not in a position to make an informed opinion.
But if I had been in a position to do so I would have. And if I saw something I didn’t like, I would have said so.

At least you are admitting to when you aren’t watching and not faking it they way TVNewser does. And you know it’s true. TVNewser relies upon tipsters and emailers far too much and if they’re wrong, he just corrects it the next day. Credibility, what’s that?

Ahh..interesting. So spud doesn’t actually witnesses much that he blogs about and takes the word of ‘tipsters’. Lord help!
