Oh, just the demo numbers i’ve been waiting for!
Beck 7pm 156,000 (canned)
Beck 9pm 146,000 (canned/repeat)
KO 8pm 142,000 (live)

Brian Unger did almost as well Monday as Keith did in his return on Tuesday. What’s up with that? Is Brian starting to click with viewers?
Comment by Goldfish — August 23, 2006 @ 6:08 pm
It’s only because of MSNBC giving it’s anchors 250 days off per year. Taking baths is important for anchors.

Brian is better. But Alison Stewart is the best on the Countdown format.

Obviously, the re-running of “The Nexus of Politics and Terror” for the third or fourth time isn’t as much of a winner as KO likes to say. “Back by popular demand tonight, our special report on the nexus of politics and terror,” he said last night. Wouldn’t even the more dedicated fan be bored with this by now?

Answer: Yes.

Terrance, in addition to the demo numbers you cited, his total audience numbers (327K and 380K) are great, especially for a program shown on Headline News.
I started out cautionsly optimistic about him, but now I’m a fan for sure!

Please forgive me for all the typos I make on this site. I proofread each one of my posts, but once the post makes it to the board, I see errors jump out that I missed in my proofreading. I think it has to do with the little window we type in.

Most of us don’t notice your typos until you point them out Missy. There are others that are much worse. Anyone can see numerous ones on FTV Live every day.
It’s obvious that HLN and Beck, and unfortunately Nancy Grace, are breaking out and moving into 3rd place in primetime, in both totals AND the demo. MSNBC still beats them daytime. This used to only happen occasionally, but now it’s a normal thing. And it’s now normal for MSNBC to be 4th in primetime.

Brian actually had better demo numbers on Monday than Keith had on Tuesday. Subs don’t usually do as well in ratings. Wow.
Comment by Goldfish — August 23, 2006 @ 6:47 pm
When can we expect to see Miss Odormann highlight Meltdown’s amazing ratings “growth”?
Comment by Tom — August 23, 2006 @ 9:38 pm
I think Glenn Beck’s show gets better every day and I had my doubts about it when it first started but now cannot miss it. Watch out, MSNBC.

I started listening to Beck’s radio show by accident (the lady whose place I took over had his show on and I was too lazy to get up and turn the channel). I really took a liking to his show and think it’s great that he’s on television too. It’s an interesting program that gets better with each passing week. Glad to see the numbers reflecting more viewers for him.
(Missy, I’m the queen of proofreading and missing errors. Somehow, when I’m paid for proofing, I’m fine, but the minute I’m home, I can’t do it.)

Olbermann doesn’t need ratings, he’s got the critics. With them on his side, there’s no stopping him.
Comment by Dwight — August 23, 2006 @ 11:32 pm
Sich heil! Isn’t that how he saluted the critics? They thought it was a hoot.
