  1. Well, well, the gap is continuing to widen. I don’t see much of that braggadocio we saw CNN spinning two weeks ago. Yes, numbers indeed don’t lie.

  2. It looks like Beck is giving KO a run for his money in the demo…. Not bad for a fairly new show that is canned.

  3. With both showings, Beck’s numbers are actually ~700,000/300,000(25-54), which is quite remarkable for such a new program!

  4. I agree that Beck’s TV show is doing better and better, but as for comparisons, today was not Beck’s day. He was 4th three ways and 3rd only one.

    7PM - P2+ (25-54)
FOX Report with Shepard Smith - 1,321,000 viewers (370,000)
    The Situation Room - 711,000 viewers (257,000)
    Hardball - 396,000 viewers (154,000)
On the Money - a scratch with 96,000 viewers (a scratch with 35,000)
    Glenn Beck - 346,000 viewers (175,000)

    9 PM - P2+ (25-54)
    Hannity & Colmes - 2,012,000 viewers (719,000)
    Larry King Live - 1,146,000 viewers (346,000)
    Scarborough - 453,000 viewers (204,000)
    Mad Money - 127,000 viewers (a scratch with 35,000)
    Glenn Beck - 359,000 viewers (133,000)

And when you put Beck’s two showing together, why aren’t you putting Countdown’s two showings together? Or Hardball’s three, or Scarborough’s two, or Nancy Grace’s two?

  5. erljr,

Only Beck and Nancy Grace are repeated during prime time, that’s why. They, like Countdown, Hardball and Scarborough, are also repeated after midnight, but we are never provided with “middle of the night” ratings.

So to be correct, I should have included Nancy Grace’s numbers, but I’m really not a fan and am not watching her ratings. I just think Glenn Beck’s ratings of 600K - 700K in prime time per night are stellar for a show that many did not expect to succeed.

  6. I might also add this show is on HLN, which is notorious for low ratings like MSNBC. So, Beck isn’t actually compared to BO’s numbers in my mind because he’s obviously in a different “ratings” league. However, any growth is substantial for a network with such low ratings in the first place. When anyone speaks of FNC’s shows, their already at the top most nights. Whats the fun in watching numbers that are stagnant? They have reached the ceiling for people who care to watch cable news. Thats why when big stories come around they get no where near the “bump” CNN does.

  7. Playing catch-up is no fun, particularly when FOX does not have to look behind once. The sound of those footsteps trying to overtake the leader is getting more and more distant, perhaps to be heard no more over the next 10, 20, or more years.

  8. For those of us on the left coast, O’Reilly Factor has it’s 2nd showing at 8pm; Larry King at 9pm; Special Report at 9pm; Countdown at 9pm; AC360 at 10pm; Cavuto at 10pm.
Most of the time, when I watch these shows, I watch the rerun.
