Kidnapped baby found…

FNC was the first to report the news that kidnapped newborn Abigale Woods had been found alive and the kidnapper was in custoday during the Fox Report with Shepard Smigh at 7:19 pm ET. Audio of a family representative’s phone confirmation with FOX affiliate KTVI in St. Louis was broadcast.

MSNBC was next at 7:35 pm ET. I don’t have a time for CNN…

  1. CNN was the first cable news network to report the state of emergency in Thailand, followed by FNC, then MSNBC. CNN’s Dan Rivers is in Bangkok…

What ICN didnt feel it worthy to post that bit of news? O yea a missing baby found..that affects how many people?

  3. Honestly, I didn’t have enough info on Thailand to make a decent post.

Spud, Don’t you have a rule about people not having mulitple alias’?

I’ll show you proof he’s Cable News Watcher if you want it.

  5. Be real! CNN covered the missing baby a hell lot more than it did the news from Thailand. The baby news was more important to all three cable news networks, and CNN was asleep at the wheel. So much for “up-to-the minute coverage of the day’s events” from the Situation Room.

  6. FOX was all over the Thailand story today. I actually spent time to watch FOX, and from 10:45AM through around 2:15PM or so, they covered it a lot.

  7. Wouldn’t it have been great if the baby had been found inside the kings’ palace in Thailand about to be sold on the blackmarket baby circuit? Look at the dough the networks would have saved by cutting travel costs on their reporters, not to mention the JUICY story involved.! The “old two birds with one stone” gimmick because we all know that it’s ONLY about ratings and costs in the world of 24 hour news. I’m glad they found her safe. I hear when Geraldo found out she was safe he mistakenly thought she was found IN a safe and was going to rush there to open it LIVE on his show. He had the “vapors” in anticipation. Me too…..NOT!

  8. Roger: I’m not sure what time “Geraldo At Large” tapes (it airs at 6:30 ET in NYC) but he reported that the baby was safe and included an on-scene report from FNC’s Jonathan Serrie.
