Shepard Smith in Jordan…

Shepard Smith is now in Jordan for FNC anchoring coverage of President Bush’s trip there…

It’s ten PM here in Amman, Jordan where something is awry, as historic talks were set to take place between President Bush, King Abdullah of Jordan and the Prime Minister of Iraq. Now those three way talks are cancelled. The President’s first meeting with the Iraqi leader will now be tomorrow. Air Force One landed here about three hours ago, word of changes came almost immediately and seemed a surprise to at least some in the President’s entourage

  1. Uh… so? Who cares? All the anchors are in Amman… who cares about Shep?

  2. I do, for one - would rather watch Shep than some of the others in Amman.

  4. They just aired the long awaited press conference, and Anderson Cooper was nowhere to be found on CNN. Shep was awake, but CNN went to the CNN International feed, with no AC. Not sure if Brian Williams was on MSNBC. Anyone know?

  5. No idea if BW was on air or not but no big deal that AC was a no show.CNN is fortunate enough to have the excellent team of anchors and reporters at CNNI.

  6. I agree with Sam and Barb. Having watched Shep during Katrina, I think he’s one of the best there is when it comes to reporting from the field. Good to see him out there. I too noticed that AC was MIA and am not sure if Williams was on or not.
