Tension in The Situation Room…

Wolf Blitzer tried to pin down Jack Murtha over losing out to Steney Hoyer in the race for House Majority Leader this evening. Transcript by me follows…

Blitzer: Any hard feelings over Steney Hoyer becoming Majority Leader…your losing the position?

Murtha: Well, we’ll keep working where we are trying to get this war out of the way. That’s all over and now we’re working trying to get the troops redeployed.

Blitzer: We saw that photo-op when he started to speak you sort of walked away…there was some interpretation you were irritated. Are you still irritated?

Murtha: Well let me tell you Wolf, you want to talk about Iraq? I’m glad to talk about it…uh..I..I’m going to work with Nancy…work with the majority tyring to get our troops home as soon as possible.

Blitzer: You don’t want to talk about working with Steney Hoyer?

Murtha: You heard what I said Wolf.

Blitzer: Ok…I’ll leave it at that. Congressman always good to speak with you. Thanks very much.

Blitzer: Clearly irritated. Up ahead tonight…

  2. Talk about a whiny liberal. What a crybaby. He fits right in with his buddy Olbermoron.

  4. Glad to see both sides clogged with egomaniacs, though any person who has been in the military deserves respect for their work.

  5. He deserves respect for serving in the military. That does not mean we have to respect every thing he says or does.

Liberals love to prop up people like Murtha, and think they can say anything, no matter outrageous, and not get criticized over it. It’s ridiculous.

  6. So much for CNN being labeled the liberal news network.

  7. That’s exactly what the Dems are trying to do, get someone who they feel can’t be questioned, i.e., a decorated vet, and then take great exception when someone tries to do his job and question them, i.e., in this case, Blitzer. I guarantee you that if you go to any of the liberal websites today they’ll be trying to claim that Blitzer was sent on a GOP “hit-mission” because he merely tried to question Murtha.

  8. bigred, I just ment what he did during his time in the military, and still, we should atleast put his ideas into consideration. We don’t have to agree with him, but we should atleast listen

  9. If this happened on FOX News you know that Murtha would of said something like “figures FOX would ask a question like this”.

  10. I’m really growing tired of the current liberal/pc belief that anyone who is a veteran has attained a “protected” status, where anything he/she says can never be questioned because of their military service. Being a veteran, though admirable in most cases, hardly qualifies one for sainthood. Adolph Hitler, Jeffrey Dahmer, Tim McVeigh, and Lee Harvey Oswald were all veterans too, and we know how they turned out.

  11. No person is perfect. We should applaud the goodness in people and cut them some slack on mistakes or weaknesses.
