Tuesday’s Numbers

CNN won the primetime Demo last night with The Situation Room (7pm), Larry King Live, and Anderson Cooper 360 (10 pm) all beating their FNC counterparts to come in first. Imus beat American Morning in both P2+ and P25-54. O’Reilly was big for FNC as was Paula Zahn Now for CNN, which turned in its highest number in a while last night. Would one be wrong to extrapolate from this that CNN may do more hour long PZN specials in the future?

  1. I thought Paula’s special about race in America would do well. Good job, Paula.

  2. I didn’t see it, but the night before her program focused on the disappearance of James Kim and the environment in which the family contended. It was excellent.

  5. Why are so many old people watching fox?

    Comment by Trudy — December 13, 2006 @ 7:17 pm

  6. Old people watch more television news period, and that’s true for all the news channels.

  7. Wow go PZN! Perhaps she should examine this new, long-form story direction instead of doing the regular same old, same old that they do on the Situation Room and AC360 anyways…

  9. But the % of older people watching fox is enormous. Why?

  10. Many people get crochetty as they get older, and FNC suits them better than less grumpy venues, Trudy. There’s some debate that it actually causes them to get crochetty, but that’s the whole chicken-egg thing, if you ask me.

  11. Young people aren’t on fixed incomes, so advertisers like them more. But old people vote, so guess who likes them better?

  12. Olby finished 4th again? Probably an attack on PZ or Howie Mandell will be featured in his latest “Special Comment”
