What’s O’Reilly up to?
John Kasich filled in for Bill O’Reilly Thursday night. In explaining his absence, Kasich said that O’Reilly was on assignment and would be back on Monday with a “major breaking news story”. So what’s Bill up to? (tip via Johnny Dollar)

Probably frantically searching for yet another “fake study” so he can prove some country or government is inferior to him.

Yet another “fake study”… and you are referring to?
Another “fake” thought?

Word is that photographs of O’Reilly’s trip, wherever it may be, will be posted on his website Sunday.

Iraq?

The one that comes to mind right now is his comments and quotes no less regarding a study about how the “boycott of anything French” hurt France’s economy so severely.Only trouble was more than one media outlet proved that report he quoted from never existed.

He went to Aruba with Geraldo, so they can solve the disappearance of one Natalee Ann Holloway.

I was surprised when O’Reilly went to Gitmo. He should go to Iraq. But Kasich said he would be back on Monday with a “major breaking news story.” I don’t think him going or being there would qualify.
JSMO - I like your idea. Maybe he went to Iran to negotiate on nucs; maybe he went to the Vatican to talk with the Pope about pedophile priests.

Whatever it is, I’m sure it will be big if BO has taken a few days off in preparation. I’ll be tuning in…

I think hes doing an interview with Olberman
Comment by Bill — December 15, 2006 @ 4:09 pm
Bill has either joined Al Franken in the middle of Al’s 2-week USO tour of the Middle East and Asia, to show Al who the REAL patriot is…..or more likely, he’s stayed in the U.S. to go undercover as Santa Claus in order to fight the final 10-day battle in the REAL war, the “War on Christmas”.
Comment by museglet — December 15, 2006 @ 4:25 pm
Maybe BO will report on this:

Terance,
It’s good that you brought that up. Snow apologized to Gregory to keep peace with the media. And it may have been inappropriate for someone representing the administration to engaged in “name-calling”.
O’Reilly, however, has no such obligation. Gregory IS a partisan, and if O’Reilly wants to say so, that’s fine. I know Joe Scarborough expects O’Reilly to apologize, but no such apology should be required, IMO. O’Reilly is a news analyst and can call them as he sees them.

Well it had better be MAJOR or he is gonna catch hell from the SP’s. I think he is out of the country for an interview with someone who could not come to the studio. If it’s Aruba, I will be disapointed myself.

Cuba perhaps?

I was really disappointed in Tony Snow apologizing to David Gregory no matter how politically correct it was. I don’t want this guy who finally has the guts to not take all the grief from the likes of Gregory, Helen Thomas, et al, to turn into a George Bush and “just want everyone to get along.” It was so refreshing to see someone shut that smartalec David Gregory up and I am furious with Tony Snow for apologizing. We don’t need another Mr. Nice Guy as Press Secretary.
Comment by sophia — December 15, 2006 @ 7:45 pm
Sophia, I agree. To watch Tony Snow apologize to that arrogant know it all - who is probably disliked by his friends - was lamentable.
Do you suppose he was told to do it?

I’ll bet BO won’t be covering this little piece of information.

My, my, Terance…you are quite the “sh_t disturber” today, aren’t you? BO has no time for either of those meaningless pieces of tripe that you’re pushing as “news” of import. Bill is currently in Texas recording a CD with Kinky Friedman and Don Imus that will spoof an old Willie Nelson tune. The CD is being named …”Mama, Don’t Let Your Jews Grow Up to Be Cowboys”. Bill, as always, will provide the total balance needed. Jew? Kinky! Athiest? Imus! Christian? Bill! Yippee ki yey…oy vey, I say.
Comment by Roger C. — December 16, 2006 @ 11:32 am
Roger C., I was wrong. BO will NOT be covering Tony Snow apologizing to David Gregory. Nor will he talk about the US building 4 nuclear reactors for China. But, I think he could have some “footage” of Judith Regan getting the boot. And might even claim he’s the reason for it.
Comment by Terance — December 16, 2006 @ 11:56 am
That “major news story” line is being used all week. Better be good.
Comment by Chris — December 16, 2006 @ 3:21 pm
My guess? It’ll be an interview with someone announcing their candadicy for president in ‘08.
Comment by Charles — December 16, 2006 @ 3:37 pm
TV Newser has found out it is Iraq, where O’Reilly went.

Maybe the breaking story is that he found someone who actually watches MSNBC?
Comment by RW — December 17, 2006 @ 1:07 pm
Yes, if only the damn media would shut up and never question Republican elites the world would be so much better. Like Chile under Pinochet where only the leftists were rounded up and executed.
Frankly I thought Tony Snow was a pathetic sop from day one when he broke down in tears on his first day on the job. Betweet Snow and Old Man Bush blubbering like a school girl watching Titanic, Al Qaeda must be quaking in their sandals.

perhaps he will announce rupert murdoch’s new deal with malaki to become iraq’s official mouth-piece?

bill orally will bring his blood-thirsty group of miscreants from new york: hannity, coulter, and, of course michelle malkin to kick-off the network…
they can do stories about the one school that opened 700 miles from nothing, in the middle of a desert in southern iraq. they can tell the ‘good stories’ of how a car managed to make its way all the way from the airport to baghdad without blowing up!

The War on Christmas has taken a turn for the worse. Santa Claus has been kidnapped by al-Qaeda terrorists.
Comment by Krvin Good — December 17, 2006 @ 5:21 pm
Hopefully we can institute that “global test”, GSD, where folks like John Kerry will ask Cameroon & France if it’s okay to act militarily.
Thousands of dead Al Qaeda members could not be reached for comment.
