I have to admit (as much as it pains me) that Herr Olbersturmfuhrer’s Special Comment episode managing 500,000 viewers is impressive. Must have been one of O’Reilly’s best nights on record

And all this talk about Lou Dobbs taking over Hume should end - forever.

Olbermann-4th place-ouch!

“And all this talk about Lou Dobbs taking over Hume should end - forever.”
Yeah, on the basis of this one day, let’s award the crown for the 7 PM hour for all of eternity.

Pssst Arthur, Hume/Dobbs are on at 6 PM…
Comment by OverHere — December 19, 2006 @ 7:55 pm
Whatever - point’s the same. Twenty years from now, will Hume still be beating Dobbs? I doubt it. One or both of them will be dead, and certainly they won’t both be on in the same time slot on cable news, if there even still is cable news.
Comment by Arthur — December 19, 2006 @ 8:17 pm
Oh jeez, they are two programs fighting for the same time slot taking two different formats, one a more talk/angled form, the other a more news-based Washington D.C. program.
People will choose what they want to watch depending on the news cycle, as we have seen in the last few weeks. So, who knows, maybe Dobbs will dominate or maybe Hume will, but we can all agree that Tucker is a long shot ;)!

Has any routinely fourth place (out of five) show in the history of television ever gotten as much fawning press coverage as Meltdown with Olbermoronn?

“Meltdown with Olbermoronn”
I’m a Keith fan, but this made me laugh.

Wasn’t Hardball doing college tour last night with Matt Daimon and Robert Deniro? Not too good.
Comment by elmonica — December 20, 2006 @ 12:42 am
By looking at the numbers for Hardball and Larry King,I guess the MSNBC commercial for Hardball didn’t work.
Comment by F101 — December 20, 2006 @ 8:32 am
Glenn Beck seems to be soundly trouncing Chris Matthews Hardball. How long has that been going on?
