  1. Come on, Spud - aren’t you going to tell us which news net broke the ‘it’s 2007′ story first?

  2. Are Banderas and Hemmer an item??

    Comment by jman — January 1, 2007 @ 11:01 pm

  3. Bill Hemmer was fantastic! Whoa!
I wondered about the two of them being “an item”, also.
    Fun stuff to speculate about.

  4. Looks like they enjoyed doing the coverage, two of the best FNC has to offer, though I missed it doing other things New Years eve

  5. Hemmer and Banderas were great! FOX went all out putting two of their most talented and best looking out there to bring in the new year.

  6. I switched between Fox and CNN both had okay coverage. I hated the Nashville idea. Looked so cheap but the New York coverage was quite good. Anderson on CNN was also very good.

  7. CNN made a huge mistake when they let Hemmer get away. He doesn’t seem to be looking back though…good for him.

  8. I don’t think CNN are kicking themselves.

  9. have to say bill hemmer was a treat to watch - they enjoyed new years as much as the crowd - their new years show was the best on tv.

  10. Hemmer has become another FNC tool. He tows the line.

    RAT TOOL!!!

So CNN got rid of Hemmer for a sleazy sneaky used car looking sales man in Miles O’Brien? Nice….

  12. Hemmer did an awesome job. He and Banderas are not an item, he’s been linked to someone else.

Another stupid decision by CNN letting him go.

    Comment by OverHere — January 2, 2007 @ 9:31 am

  13. I thought it was hemmer’s decision to leave CNN? Hemmer is a better out in the field reporter versus deer in the headlights anchor.

I’m no Hemmer fan but he seems pretty competant anchoring Fox Online

  15. Number 12,
Come on. Tell us to whom Bill has been linked.
Am I correct in assuming it’s too late for me? LOL

  16. I was hoping Julie and Bill were a item, but that is not the case. When Julie teased Bill and said she was going to give him a ring tonight(New Years Eve) Hemmer said that his girlfriend would not be to happy about that. He then kinda turned his head and looked off camera as to be looking at his girlfriend with a smile. So I think she was there with them that night.
I want to know also who is Bill linked to. But what is up with these anchors not being married? Bill Hemmer, Anderson Cooper and Shep Smith. All three of the guys are atleast 40. Just curious, I am a romantic at heart.

    Comment by Noelle — January 2, 2007 @ 12:25 pm

  17. I think they are just married to their jobs.
About Hemmer…I was happy to see him New Years Eve. Always liked him in the morning. Wish FOX would put him at another hour of the day so I could catch him.

  18. #15, I’m probably going to butcher her name but I’ve heard Hemmer linked to Dara Tomanovich, who is a Ford model.

#13, it was his decision but CNN didn’t leave him much choice. He lived in NYC (and I believe had just purchased a new home) and they offered him the White House Correspondent position. They knew he’d never accept it. So yeah I guess technically it was his decision but it just came down to CNN wanted him gone.

  19. After reading what OverHere said about Hemmer, it seems to be the current trend for CNN. Hemmer, Lin, who else? They seem to like to take the easy way out.

  20. Banderas can’t hold a candle to R. Gomez. Both, however, spice my chile just right. As far as B.Hemmer…. he’s OK but his “deer in the headlights” look after the eye surgery should have left long ago. He looks too much like the “runaway bride” half the time. Also, why no news of the MTV “F-bomb”? Shouldn’t they be broke by now from all of THEIR gaffes?

    Comment by Roger — January 3, 2007 @ 10:43 am

  21. no. 13 and 20 - these two males have written this “deer in the headlights” bit over and over for quite at while. i think they must be looking at bill hemmer thru very green eyes.

  22. Overhere,
    Thanks for the info.
Bill looks just as good this morning.
So it wasn’t moonlight magic that cast that spell. Whoa!
Now say it isn’t so about the gossip floating around about another FNC anchor.

    Comment by cella — January 3, 2007 @ 12:58 pm

  23. #22…alright, I’ll bite. What is going around about which other FNC anchor???
