Is she replacing someone?
Comment by Olivia — January 10, 2007 @ 12:25 pm
I believe she replaces Carol Iovanna who was let go at the end of last year.
Comment by Mark — January 10, 2007 @ 1:49 pm
I have not heard her yet, but her picture reminds me of a face pieced from a combination of Martha MacCallum, Laurie Dhue, and E.D. Hill. Yes, she is a blond, too, a clssical Fox trademark.
Comment by RGL — January 10, 2007 @ 3:23 pm
RGL, a composite?
Comment by Missy — January 10, 2007 @ 3:29 pm
Actually Suzanne Sena replaced Carol. I think Ainsley rplaces Donna Fiducia.
Comment by IceMan — January 10, 2007 @ 4:03 pm
Agreed, she fits in with the other Fox ladies. Here is her bio from the KENS-TV website. While I haven’t seen any footage of Ainsley yet, her bio is promising. Too bad she has probably lost the South Carolina accent.
Comment by Buck — January 10, 2007 @ 4:09 pm
Is it just me or does Suzanne Sena have like zero credentials? Apart from a little stint anchoring in Dallas, most of her career is hosting fluff entertainment shows like “Celebrity Homes” and “Extra.”
Comment by SuperNoxic — January 10, 2007 @ 4:21 pm
Mark: Both Carol Iovanna and Donna Fiducia appear to be goners.
Comment by Ira — January 10, 2007 @ 9:07 pm
SuperNoxic, she’s rather pasty white and blond haired, so her credentials don’t really matter over at FNC. (I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist)
But still, how many blonds can FNC really hire?
Comment by Chris — January 10, 2007 @ 9:49 pm
Maybe they think one of their blond prompter readers will go missing so greta’s ratings will once again get up there.
Comment by Big Dave — January 10, 2007 @ 11:45 pm
SuperNoxic - Where did Bill O’Reilly get his start?
Comment by Olivia — January 11, 2007 @ 4:09 pm
Maybe replace Lauren Green whose last day was today on FF. She’ll be into some Religious position still at Fox.

Ainsley Earhardt might have credentials and is some people’s opinion looks, but the girl cannot get a single complete sentence out without stumbling and stuttering. When it comes to pronunciation and enunciation she is a hopeless case. We suffered through her tenure at KENS-TV in San Antonio for what seemed like an eternity.
Comment by Linda — January 27, 2007 @ 5:07 pm
Do you only post postive observations? My post was not accepted twice.
Comment by Linda — January 27, 2007 @ 5:16 pm
The operative word there is “approve”…meaning I have to log in and do it. That doesn’t always happen in a timely manner…
Comment by Spud — January 27, 2007 @ 5:54 pm
Must be a girl thing — Linda, I couldn’t disagree more.
I’m a guy, and I’ve watched most of Ainsley’s morning newscasts for the last couple of years and I never saw her stumble or stutter over anything.
Lemme guess: you don’t like Megan Alexander either, right?
Comment by Fred Goodwin — January 27, 2007 @ 9:37 pm
We watched Ainsley when she was in SC before she went to TX. We really liked her and thought she was good on the air! Can’t wait to see her on FOX!

I was the 11:00 news producer at the CBS-TV affiliate in Columbia, SC when Ainsley started there as a nightside reporter in 2000. She was very talented, handled live shots professionally and was always pleasant to work with and be around. I obviously didn’t see any of her on-air work in Texas, but I knew she was going to do big things with her career. I’m glad she’s being given an opportunity at a national network. I’ll be watching her debut.

I miss Ainsley in SC and glad to see her on Fox
Comment by Louvina — February 12, 2007 @ 3:50 am
I live in Columbia, SC and watched Curtis and Ainsley every morning before work and must say that it just has not been the same without her. I am so happry for her and wish her well.
Comment by Michelle — February 25, 2007 @ 11:57 am
I agree with Linda… Many of us are glad to see her go…She couldn’t do one show without stumbling and stammering on her words!
Comment by Karen — February 27, 2007 @ 5:10 pm
It seems to me that KENS-TV’s loss is Fox News Channel’s gain as far as Ainsley is concerned. And that’s coming from someone who’s not much of a FOX News fan.
Comment by Mike — March 1, 2007 @ 12:43 am
We watched Ainsley on Kens TV and miss her so much. Vicki just doesn’t compare. Glad we can at least see Ainsley on Fox.
Comment by Patty — March 3, 2007 @ 10:37 am
She was on Saturday’s Fox and Friends. She is gorgeous. What a hire!
Comment by Joe — March 3, 2007 @ 10:56 am
Ainsley grew up here in Columbia, SC. She attended my parents’ church. She left that church (Lutheran) for a Baptist church with a much larger congregation. Seems many of her sorority pals went there to find a husband. I don’t know if she’s still married or not. FWIW, she’s EXTREMELY thin, almost to the point of disappearing if she turns sideways. Nice girl, though.

We moved to Pipe Creek about 2 years ago and didn’t start watching the local news until about six months later. We have been watching Kens5 on a daily basis and both my husband and I loved the show, especially Ainsley. We miss her and Vickie just doesn’t cut it for us. Of course, we’ll still watch it because of Fred, Meagen and Paul but it is not the same. We miss you Ainsley……Good Luck and keep in touch with San Antonio. Teresa

I think suzanne sena is a great addition to the fox family!!! I’m awake all night during the week…and I watch her news breaks. She hardly stumbles…and she has a very warm personality.
Comment by penny — April 10, 2007 @ 4:10 pm
Suzanne and Ainsley are both great additions to Fox! Michigan and South Carolina losses are the network’s gain.
Comment by Harry — April 11, 2007 @ 2:47 am
I think the ol’ KENS-5 morning team in San Antonio was great with Ainsley, Meghan, Fred, and Paul. Vicki is nice, but the comraderie is not there like it was with those 4. It was fun to wake up with those girls being goofy and Fred making his smart comments… and Paul is fun no matter who’s around! My wife and I were sad to see her go…

I went to college with Ainsley in Columbia, SC and she is a great great person. She did a wonderful job at WLTX in Columbia and I know she’ll be awesome at Fox News. I wish her all the best.

TV’s Carol Iovanna sells her 1st documentary to PBS! Award winning former Fox News anchor and Regis & Kathie Lee correspondent, Carol Iovanna, started her own production. co., Illumination Productions(www.illuminationproductions.com), signed w/ North Star Media and just sold her first property to PBS, “Journey Out of Silence” (Heather Whitestone’s story of overcoming deafness to become Miss America).
