Bush on Your World…

President Bush’s appearance on Your World is happening as I type this but already news from the interview is spreading over the wires…

Reuters…

President George W. Bush said on Wednesday that Democratic Sen. Barack Obama was an impressive politician but had a “long way to go to be president,” as he weighed in on the race for the White House in 2008.

“He hasn’t gotten elected yet. He hasn’t even gotten the party’s nomination. He’s an attractive guy. He’s articulate,” Bush said in an interview with Fox News.

Reuters again…

Asked about Chavez’s plan for a government takeover of some businesses, Bush told Fox News Channel’s Neil Cavuto:

“Well, it’s a hypothetical. My worry, of course, is that the nationalization of industry will make it harder for the Venezuelan people to be lifted out of poverty, will make it harder for the people to realize their full potential.”

And a third Reuters piece by Steve Holland…

“I don’t feel abandoned,” Bush told Fox News Channel’s “Neil Cavuto.” “And what do you expect? When times are good, there’s millions of authors of the plan. When times are bad, there’s one author, and that would be me.”

  1. … articulate. Siiiigh.

Oh well, at least he didn’t call him CLEAN. But what’s with that awkward, uncomfortable grin he’s always wearing now?

  2. I think George Bush needs a “whiz quiz” because he looks high.

  3. He does the grin when he’s trying to “lighten up.” But the squinting still prevails.

  4. Clinton always wrinkled his brow and his nose shone like the red light outside of the bunny ranch. When you put a mic in his face.

  5. Mike, please stop with the dumb humor. Anyway, I kind of wish I could have seen the interview, I am wondering how soft this one was compared to the last one.

  7. I thought the interview was a little too long. It was interesting for the most part – A couple of pieces of new information, but I think it could have been wrapped up a fair bit faster. It just seemed to drag on a bit.
