More Ad Wars…
Variety’s Michael Learmonth writes about a new MSNBC ad, which I’ve heard about but haven’t seen yet.
UPATE: YouTube has the video…
“We’re looking to differentiate our brand from both Fox and CNN. The far more achievable goal is beating CNN,” said MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines. “Now is the time for us to find our voice, given our recent ratings success.”
A Fox News rep was amused: “When you’ve been an embarrassment to your parent company for 10 years, it certainly never hurts to take chances.”

Touche!

They had the Larry King type in another ad a couple months ago. Very creative. And not so in your face that I want to change the channel. I like it.

I think they are funny compared to the FOX ones which were very bitchy. These Fox News reps are the same aren’t they. If you make fun of the network at all they attack you like that.

I don’t typically like ads like this, but this one’s pretty good.

Well being that Fox News is run by one of the biggest political hatchet men of recent time it’s not really a surprise. It wasn’t only until recently that other news organizations have been returning fire.

“You could watch a someone with an agenda…”
And then they have the nerve to show Olbermann. Puh-lease. If I watched MSNBC I’d be offended that they were saying I was too stupid to know the difference between an unbiased journalist… and a partisan like Matthews, Olbermann, Tucker, Joe.
Where do these ads air anyway? Are they really commercials or just promos that air on MSNBC?
