“America’s Newsroom” - a sure sign that they’re pitting it against CNN Newsroom?
Comment by Mr A — February 2, 2007 @ 12:22 pm
Sounds that way… Don’t they refer to themselves as American’s News Channel?

I wonder what the set will look like. I wonder if they will be sitting together behind a large desk or will they be sitting (one on each chair) with a small table in between them?

No Oliva. For years they’ve used “…because Fox is where the news is,” “The most powerful name in news,” and “America’s Newsroom,” but never “American’s News Channel.”
And chicken or egg? I thought CNN got the idea for “CNN Newsroom” from FNC’s “America’s Newsroom” promos.

Does sound like Ailes is putting up Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly in “American’s Newsroom” to counter CNN’s Tony Harris and Heidi Collins in “Cnn’s Newsroom”….
Bill Hemmer vs Tony Harris
Megyn Kelly vs Heidi Collins….
Ailes has always said he likes to win….And he is looking for a winning team in the 9-11am slot..
Anyone who has read Ailes book “You are the Message: Getting What you want by being who you are”—understands how he (Ailes) became the kind of leader he is…and what kind of stragedies he uses…(Note: the book is old …But the techniques and philosophies certainly arent….
Its no wonder those who work for Fox like Fox…He knows how to keep morale up and knows how to support and encourage his team players…..
Anyone who is competitive would enjoy working for him….He is tough…but incredibly fair….

Is this just more of a sign how FNC is continuing a shift from the uniformic morning shift of continuous FNL, which used to last longer prior to ‘03 (I believe), into divided up programming? If so, how long till they do what CNN did and remerge everything?

I believe FNC has finally gotten it!
There were new surprises on Special Report!
Tonight, instead of the dull, uninspiring Jim Angle hosting Special Report, there was Bret Baier.
And Major Garrett was on the panel!
I have been begging them for two years to spiff up that panel and the substitute hosts.

This new line-up will brighten my morning. I think this will be a better time for Hemmer who is good with hard news, breaking stories and interviews. I will wait to see about Megyn Kelly. She strikes me as kind of humorless and severe, but maybe Bill will lighten her up. The correct pairing of anchors makes a big difference. I sure do not enjoy Fox and Friends as much since E.D. was replaced by Gretchen.

Also…the only change that would have pleased me more would be if they moved Hemmer to air opposite O’Brien and O”Brien. It would be so fun to see him beat them in the ratings.

America’s Newsroom…how original. FNC copying CNN….hmmmm…that’s strange. Wonder if any news will come from ‘America’s Newsroom’? Probably not…just the sos repackaged and renamed.

News fan, did you ever catch Kendall’s Court?

megyn will have a short shelf life. she’s good with legal matters but doesnt have any personality. shes beautiful but not good with hard news. i dont think those 2 will work.

Big Dave, FNC has been using that motto for atleast a few years now and, just now, is actually using the motto along with a new program.

Love Megan (great personality) and Gretchen is great. I am sorry but E.D. turns me off. I think it is her voice. I am indeen addicted to Fox News and thank you!! I am retired and rely and enjoy!!

I wish when Megyn asks a question of Dr. Manny that she would allow him to answer it before she stmbles on to something else, as she did today. I didn’t get a thing out of his answer because she was still talking. Thanks

I knew exactly how Hillary Clinton was going to comment this morning after the picture being on TV. One thin she is good at is consistently lying. How could anyone even think of voting for her. What a piece of garbage.
