Neil Cavuto profile…
Inside Radio has a Mike Kinosian interview with Neil Cavuto…
Doing daily features enhances an already ambitious routine that sees Cavuto beginning early in the day to get a handle on domestic and international political and business news developments. “Whether it’s early-morning; post-market; or post-market closing report, I do this stuff for TV anyway,” he reasons. “Writing for radio and television is remarkably similar. [But] in radio, you can punch it up and be even more direct. Radio has the added element where you have to be super-concise and very clear. I enjoy challenging that part of my brain.”
Affiliates were dutifully alerted before “Money Report” officially debuted that it wouldn’t be the traditional business update. “Save it for your local guy to tell you what Dow futures might be – unless it’s a huge thing,” advises FNC’s VP/Business News. “Listen if you want insight no one else covers. I’m not saying it is right but it [will likely] fly in the face of something you’ve heard.”
File it under full/honest disclosure when this conscientious host candidly admits each “Money Report” might not always be riveting. It’s much more important that he leaves his listeners thinking. “I’m pretty odd,” Cavuto quips - because “I notice things others don’t. That’s what makes me goofy - I want to encourage a little goofiness. I want people to discover things the established media doesn’t cover.”

I do not like, neal cavuto’s personality.
