They had MSNBC up and running on one of my boxes and were trying to get it to show up on the other when I got another call from one of them saying that someone at Verizon's national office or some such thing had put a stop to their efforts, and they would have to remove MSNBC from the one box they had gotten it to appear on, because I'm not eligible to receive it in my area due to the Cablevision deal. I told them I just switched from Comcast, so how could I be in a Cablevision area, and if I somehow was, then isn't Comcast also violating Cablevisions's carriage deal by offering MSNBC? They said they didn't know and someone would get back to me on Monday after they got a response from Verizon's main office. Thank goodness Olbermann has a video podcast for a short-term fix for this problem, but if Verizon doesn't solve this for me by next weekend, I'm back to Comcast.
