  1. There’s been a lot of talk in the past few weeks about how many people H&C lose from The Factor… and while I agree (I think it’s because H&C have been dwelling on ANS too much) but check it out these numbers:

    O’Reilly Factor – 2,479,000 viewers (441,000)
    Hannity & Colmes– 1,688,000 viewers (488,000)

The Demo went UP! Perhaps ANS is losing them viewers who are watching for political debate… but they’re gaining Demos for their coverage!

  2. Wow. Lou Dobbs is closing fast! Only needs a 100% increase in his numbers and he’s there! Where are all the Dobbs cheerleaders these days? Olbermann has recoverd a little from his slump. Though still 3rd in overall.

  3. Why do the numbers differ on ICM and TVNewsUsr?

  4. I know Terance watched Harris Faulkner while she subbed for Shepp. Did Anyone else? Did you guys like her? Her ratings were high 1,359,000 viewers (430,000). I’m glad the viewers turned in. In my opinion she did a great job.

  5. I’ve watched Harris Faulkner for years. She’s paid her dues… North Carolina, Kansas City, Minneapolis. She does a very solid job on the updates and I can see her becoming a bigger force for FNC. Kudos to her.

  6. I missed Harris Faulkner last night but she always puts on a professional show wherever she ends up. I’d like to see her get the weekend slot on Fox and Friends.

    She is a pro’s pro.

  7. The numbers differ because his include DVR data and mine do not.

  8. I don’t think there was alot of talk between the dropoff of Factor and H&C. I think it was only 1 person bringing it up and I think it’s nonsense. BOR is a big personality, #1 in Cable news and has a built in audience that only watches him and once he’s off, they’re gone. It’s like me watching one of my favorite shows on NBC - Heroes. Do I stick around and watch what’s after it because I’m still on the channel? Hells no! Heck I don’t even know what’s after it if you pointed a gun to me head lol. What’s BOR’s average? Around 2.4-2.6? H&C about 1.6-1.8? Ratings for them look about right to me.

  9. Puck, if she’s professional, why in the right mind would she be perfect for the Fox & Friends gig? In all respects, she’s above that and, I think anyway, deserves an hour of Fox News Live or possibly as a replacement for Trace on the weekends.

  10. Also, if anything, people just probably wanted to watch more Anna Nicole coverage than anything yesterday, or atleast that’s what the numbers appear to show. Even so, it does seem strange that the TVN numbers were so different from these, but maybe some factor wasn’t accounted for.

  11. Two straight weeks of 3rd and/or 4th place finishes and Olbermoron is clearly getting desperate. He spent several minutes attacking O’Reilly (and Oprah) tonight, playing the Hornbeck comment once again, lying about it once again, and even bringing up Malmedy again.

I’ve never seen a more pathetic excuse of a human being than this clown.

    Comment by bigred — February 23, 2007 @ 10:37 pm

  12. bigred is always good for a laugh or two, particularly at the end of the week. First, all those funny, funny names he comes up with for Olbermann, and now the conclusion AFTER Thursday’s numbers (and without the added DVR #s) that he must be “desperate”. Hilarious. I guess Marc Klaas doesn’t understand what kidnapping and child molestation are all about either? Based upon her character, I have no doubt Oprah has come down on whomever did incomplete research on BOR before he appeared on her show.

    Comment by museglet — February 23, 2007 @ 11:04 pm

  13. museglet, you are calling out “bigred” for a “funny name”? What on earth is yours supposed to mean?

BTW, O’Reilly works with Klaas, Wendy Murphy, John Walsh and every other advocate for child’s rights. And thanks to Oprah for letting him further publicize the cause. Again, what are you talking about?

    Comment by Missy — February 23, 2007 @ 11:30 pm

  14. Glenn Beck continues to destroy Chris Matthews’ so-called “Hardball”? Can we get a response from Dan Abrams on that?

    Comment by Tom — February 23, 2007 @ 11:49 pm

  15. Muse, you’re rather aMUSEing yourself. The DVR ratings are worthless. Anyone who records a program just fast forwards over the commercials.

Secondly, Klaas was on O’Reilly’s show earlier this week and didn’t say a bad word about him.

    Missy, thanks for the backup.

    Comment by bigred — February 24, 2007 @ 12:24 am

  16. Bigred you said Olbermann has had two straight weeks of third and fourth place finishes, i would like to know which figures you are referring to total or demo, since he has come in second a few times (between those two sets of figures) over the last two weeks, therefore you cannot say he had “straight” third and fourth place finishes.
BTW we all know you dislike KO, you dont of to remind us so much, your beginning to sound pathetic.

    Comment by Sam — February 24, 2007 @ 12:49 pm

  17. You’re right. The was a day where he appeared 2nd overall, but 3rd in the demo.

But what’s pathetic is the stuff Olbermann says about anyone he chooses, and that there are actually people out there who believe him.

    Comment by bigred — February 24, 2007 @ 4:39 pm

  18. Keep an eye on Glenn Beck. He close most of the time and beats Chris Matthews outright from time to time. Another conservative host beating a liberal host. How much proof do liberals need, we are a conservative country!!!!!

    Comment by sophosrex — February 24, 2007 @ 6:10 pm

  19. Dont get ahead of yourself Glenn Beck rarely beats Chris Matthews (who i dont see as a liberal anyhow)

    Comment by Sam — February 24, 2007 @ 8:57 pm

  20. Matthews the “LIBERAL”???!!! All he does EVERY show is flack for “Rudy” over and over and attack “Hil-law-ry” non-stop. Along with defining everyone by cringe-inducing racial/ethnic/gender/sexual orientation stereotypes. I hardly think being opposed to the Iraq war before it began is a “liberal” position, just one of his few enlightened ones.
