O’Reilly on Oprah: A reaction…
The San Antonio Express’ Maria Anglin writes about Bill O’Reilly appearing on Oprah last week…
What if talk show queen Oprah Winfrey and right-wing monarch Bill O’Reilly decided to get in cahoots and tackle one of America’s ugliest social problems?
This pair speaks to different audiences. One screams bright red; the other skews funky blue. One puts out a no-nonsense macho vibe; the other looks to the ladies for her audience. Both are putting child predators in the cross hairs.
Could these star-crossed stars bring the country’s fractured family together, if only on one heart-wrenching front?

Someone from the print media actually writing something nice about O’Reilly and his efforts? Has hell frozen over or something?

I believe it is the “first sign.”

The untold story: The liberal blogosphere went nuts when they found out that O’Reilly was to be on Oprah’s show speaking on this sbject. They were still in an uproar about his remarks on air regarding why the Shawn Hornbeck(?) kid didn’t run and remained with his captive for so many years when he had numerous chances to escape. So the lib websites asked their readers to flood Oprah’s website with complaints. Her fan forum turned into a virtual war zone with people demanding she never book him on her show again or that she have him back on the show to explain his remarks regarding Hornbeck and make him apologize for them. Then Keith Olbermann (of course) joined in and named Oprah Worst Person in the World for having O’Reilly on her show. The writer obviously did NOT do her homework on this issue at all.

Regardless of what the lib’s think or what this writer wrote, teaming up BO and O to get these monsters off of our streets and into the rotting jails they deserve…..I say have at it. If any two people can make a difference in this it is them. They speak to two completely different groups of people who, for the most part, follow them loyally. If they can get their respective groups to stand up and fight this, more power to them.

Alison, thanks for the update!
I can’t believe it - instead of the left being grateful that SOMEONE is taking on this issue, they’re upset because it’s someone they don’t like! And isn’t just like O’Reilly to attack someone (Oprah, in this case) for teaming up w/O’Reilly. Unbelievable.
