Chicago Tribune vs. FNC…
The Chicago Tribune’s Phil Rosenthal writes about his paper’s court case with FNC over the use of “Red Eye” and FNC’s John Moody taking the stand…
Blacking out “Red Eye” and having Fox News Channel go dark on Chicago area cable systems so RedEye readers aren’t confused was one of the solutions Moody laid out Monday before U.S. District Judge Elaine Bucklo. Other options he offered, should the publisher prevail, included reinstating reruns of “Fox Report with Shepard Smith” in the slot and canceling the show outright.
Chicago Tribune Co. lawyers indicated they want the show renamed.
Thanks (?) to insomnia, I’ve actually seen this program a few times, and it’s got a LOT of potential. Maybe they should show it earlier to get a larger audience, and in the process, rename it to something that does not characterize it as a “middle of the night” program. Problem solved.

I caught it a few times during a recent vacation to Hawaii, when it airs at a much better time for me, and I agree it has a lot of potential. As it is, living on the East Coast, I’ll probably never get to see it but with a little polishing it could be a really good show. I like Missy’s suggestion and hope it’s not canceled outright.

I know the website first labeled it “Greg Gutfeld’s Show” after the lawsuit as filed, and now I think it’s just called “FOX News Red Eye” under the shows list.
Hopefully, they’ll come up with a better name than “FOX News Red Eye”…

The article says the first name suggestion was wasteland…because it is suppose to be a meaningless show. the head of fnc just described the whole broadcast day for the channel !

GO ahead then Fox boring News and black it out, won’t matter to anyone. A) People sleep instead of watching garbage B) It’s unfunny C) Instead of doing the easy thing and renaming the dumb show as usual you’ll just take the high road and be a jerk news network D) Don’t matter cause it’s a very awful unfunny show.

“Red Eye” last night probably had their very best show. Jonathan Hoenig probably got everyone at Fox into trouble during the discussion about You Tube with his slam at Muslims.
Brettfan, Bravesfan or whatever you now call yourself: It would be nice if you confined your hateful comments to Fox shows you actually watch (which are probably none).
