Olbermann to host People for the American Way event featuring Valerie Plame…

Radar Online got ahold of a PFTAW email that said that Keith Olbermann will be talking with Valerie Plame at a PFTAW event on March 17th. Certain people will be making much hay out of this…

Outed CIA operative Valerie Plame is coming in from the cold to speak with MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann on March 17, according to an announcement e-mailed to supporters of event sponsors People For the American Way. Plame, however, won’t be bumping Richard Lewis’s usual one-on-one shtick with Olbermann on Countdown, and she certainly isn’t filling Michael Musto’s regular slot. A select group of NPR tote baggers will get to see Olbermann and Plame face off live at Manhattan’s Tishman Auditorium.

  1. Wow. Shocking. Keith Olbermann is so NOT a liberal.

  2. So not a liberal are you blind and deaf??

  3. PFTAW is a liberal org.

  4. I’ll hold my breath waiting for one of those MSM outlets that have run glowing profiles of the partisan propagandist to give an update and finally do what no mainstream print news outlet has done: label him as a liberal

No really, I’m going to do it, because I’m sure it’ll happen.

****Certain people will be making much hay out of this…****

The entire news industry should make hay of this. Were Bill O’Reilly to host an NRA convention there’d be hell-to-pay on the network newscasts as they tried to formulate which epithet to use first. PFTAW? What, moveon.org didn’t get their invitation in the mail soon enough? The yearlykos convention center was already booked?

  5. Olbermann admitted to being a liberal on the radio show he does with Dan Patrick earlier this week, as if we didn’t already know that. . . . . . . . . but yet, for whatever reason, he still continues to insist he’s not in interviews with the mainstream media. And not a single one asks him about the contradictions or calls him on it.

  6. RW:

You will see the MSM cover this when KO has a Republican other than Hagel or Buchanan on his show.

  7. Spud: How do you think Abrams aand Co. are going to respond to this, if at all?

  8. Ooooh, Olbermann’s been outed as a liberal. Someone alert the press…
No one would rake O’Reilly over the coals of he were to speak at an NRA convention. But, keep telling yourself that there’s a liberal media and Olbermann is at the center of it… if it makes it easier to go on living now that Olbermann Watch doesn’t exist.

  9. And others, like Brit Hume, are self identified conservatives, but that doesn’t stop them from beig fair when presenting the news.

  10. What exactly are “coals of he” KS?

  11. ****No one would rake O’Reilly over the coals of he were to speak at an NRA convention. *****

Yeah, no one would, you know, write a book about O’Reilly & base a failed radio show attempting to assign “he’s a right-winger” status to him via mockery, or see a comedy network base an entire show around a fake O’Reilly clone that comes only from the right-wing. That would be just a dream. What color is the sky in that world, I wonder?

****But, keep telling yourself that there’s a liberal media****

I sense the need to inform you that Princess Di is dead & there’s really no tooth fairy, either.

***Ooooh, Olbermann’s been outed as a liberal. Someone alert the press…****

Case in point, the press refuses to label Olbermann a liberal while constatnly assigning “conservative” status to O’Reilly. Thanks for - obviously unknowingly - buttressing my assertion.

  12. Phil: I was being facetious. Read my many negative comments about Olbermann. He’s a left wing hack.

    Comment by Edward Schatz — March 2, 2007 @ 12:57 pm

  13. Keyser: Bad example.

O’Reilly was a gun control advocate until he saw the lawlessness in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

  14. Keyser, you really need to lose that name. You disgrace one of my favorite movies. Are you kidding me? Olbermahn and the other hacks at MSNBC would have a field day of O’Reilly or anyone at FOX were hosting anything for a right wing political organization. The bashing would go on for days.

And I’m sure his “interview” with Valerie Plame will be hard-hitting and incisive. I wonder if he’ll ask what her favorite color is.

  15. More ammo for Bill O’Reilly.

    Comment by Bob — March 2, 2007 @ 2:22 pm

  16. Totally agreed on the smearing of the name Keyser Soze.

Furthermore, I just love the argument that it’s okay for Olbermann to take part in events like this, hosted by far-left groups with the excuse, “But Fox does. . .” or “X on Fox does this”. Let’s be clear here, bias of ANY kind has no place in mainstream media. I know it exists and it bothers me from BOTH sides of the extreme. Olbermann is quickly becoming the anti-Fox News but that isn’t a GOOD thing just as it’s never been good that Fox leaned to the right. I want to see people I can believe don’t have a political agenda when they are presenting the news. That simply doesn’t exist on either Fox or on Olbermann’s nightly lefty love fest.

  17. Plame and Olbermann - the two biggest frauds on earth.
They deserve each other. Is anyone going to watch this P.T. Barnum circus?
    Please, a drink.
