HotAir.com has the video of Greg Gutfeld issuing an apology on Red Eye for a segment the night before where contributor Jonathan Hoenig got a bit…uh…headstrong. Hot Air has the Hoenig segment as well…

Red Eye and FNC should have let that stand without an apology. What’s the difference in that and Imus saying “god-damned”? I’ve never heard Imus apoligize for having offended somebody else’s imaginary friend and neither should Hoenig - nor should anyone else acting on his behalf.
If you say something blatantly offensive about real people for no good reason then you should probably apologize. But for my part I couldn’t care less whether anyone says something that offends someone else’s god. This is just nonsense.

It’s not really clear to me what he was apologizing for, or what he needed to apologize for. Jonathan Hoenig headstrong? It seemed to me he was just pointing out hypocrisy. Did I miss something? Does anyone know what the exact complaint was?

erljr: Similar to Salman Rushdie, Jonathan Hoenig may now have to go into hiding! (Although he did appear on Cavuto’s show today).
