More Trump hysterics…
Donald Trump was interviewed in The Situatrion Room today. Highlights (or lowlights depending on your point of view) follow…
On Sen. Hillary Clinton
TRUMP: I think she’ll probably be the nominee.
BLITZER: Is she ready to be commander-in-chief?
TRUMP: I think she is.
On Sen. Barack Obama
TRUMP: I think he’s young, I think he’s probably — it’s a little bit soon. I think his time might come, but I think it’s too soon.
On John Edwards and Sen. John Kerry
TRUMP: I would probably be inclined not to like him on the basis that he lost an election that should have been won. That election should have been won.
BLITZER: Well, do you blame him or John Kerry?
TRUMP: Well, I guess you have to say it’s a combination of both. Now obviously the second man on the ticket doesn’t have too much of an impact, in comparison to the first, but — and Ilike John Kerry a lot, he’s a wonderful guy, he’s somebody I know and I have — he’s a friend of mine — but I’m so upset that he blew it.On President Bush
TRUMP: Well, I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States, and I just don’t understand how they could have lost that election.
On Sen. John McCain and Rudy Giuliani
TRUMP: doesn’t seem to have picked up like I would have assumed, because if you would have asked me this question a year ago, it looked like he was going to walk into the nomination, and now Rudy is doing so well in the polls that it’s really amazing…I don’t know what happened. I think probably the fact that he said, I want more troops going over to Iraq. Anybody that wants more troops going over to Iraq, I think, can’t win an election.
On favoring a presidential contender
BLITZER: So it sounds like, if the contest turned out to be Rudy Giuliani versus Hillary Clinton, you, Donald Trump, would be torn.
TRUMP: I’d make a decision, because I believe in that. I don’t believe in supporting two people. You know I have friends, they support fifteen different candidates for the same office. I don’t believe in that; that’s almost like prostitution. And I just feel that there are two great candidates and I would make a decision. But I’m not going to make it now because there’s no reason to.
Iraq and Secretary Rice
TRUMP: Now it’s a breeding ground for terrorists. So, look, the war is a total catastrophe…And they have a civil war going over there.
BLITZER: Who do you blame?
TRUMP: Well, there’s only one person you can blame, and that’s our current president. I mean, obviously Rumsfeld was a disaster, and other people that are giving him advice have been a disaster. And Condoleezza Rice, who’s a lovely woman but she never makes a deal — she doesn’t make deals, she waves. She gets off the plane, she waves, she sits down with some dictator — 45 degree angle, they do the camera shot. She waves again, she gets back on the plane, she waves — no deal ever happens.
On Saddam Hussein and the next leader of IraqTRUMP: And Saddam Hussein will be a nice person, compared to the man — and it will be a man, it will not be a woman, that we understand. People say, Oh, gee, you didn’t give the women a chance — it will be a man. Compared to the person that takes over for Saddam Hussein, he will be considered a nice person. This guy will be the meanest, the worst guy, and he’ll have one thing — one thing — he will hate America, and he’ll use that to flame.
On Scooter Libby
BLITZER: Do you think the president will pardon him?
TRUMP: I think he probably will, because otherwise he’s going to see some horrible books written by Scooter Libby.

OMG Donald Trump is the most egocentric public figure ever, you should have heard his response when Wolf asked him if he would run or if he ever considered running for President. Kudos to wolf for being able to keep a straight face.

I put a lot of stock into what Donald Trump says. His opinion means so much. Maybe we’ll get to see him get his head shaved by Vince McMahon.

For once I agree with Trump! And I applaud his not being afraid to tell the truth. Oops..I forget the people here hate the truth.
Comment by Me — March 16, 2007 @ 4:48 pm
Does anyone REALLY give a crap what Trump thinks about anything?!
Comment by Marty — March 16, 2007 @ 5:24 pm
Why is anyone asking Trump about anything other than Real Estate information? What are his bloody credentials to opine about politics, or anything else for that matter? Lame arsehole.
Comment by Keyser Soze — March 16, 2007 @ 6:03 pm
I agree with Keyser Soze… You think he’d side with Bush because of Republican tax cuts…
Comment by Chase — March 16, 2007 @ 6:08 pm
This interview was atrocious. His answer about how he would do as president was so bad I couldn’t help but laugh.
Hopefully at Wrestlemania I see a bald Donald and a stone cold stunner.

You all dont like what he is saying in this interview but according to the Fox people he was so justified in his fight with Rosie. I wonder what Fox will say about Trump now or if they will even do a story on his remarks.
Comment by alice cervantes — March 16, 2007 @ 6:40 pm
Chase, he had positive affirmations for many republicans including McCain, Guliani, Bloomberg and Romney. He also admited to voting for George W Bush in 2004, not in the Wolf Blitzer interview but in one two years ago.

Funny, if the shoe was on the other foot, the repubs would be rollin out the red carpet for trump. simply amazing! But you know, I was speaking to someone I know the other day who is a republican and he was saying the exact same thing trump was saying about bush. About what an embarassment bush is for america. This was from someone who is a HARDCORE repub and voted for the dude.
Comment by Me — March 16, 2007 @ 7:51 pm
alice… Why would FOX do a story about his remarks? His fight with Rosie was a huge public spectical, carried across multiple TV networks. This was what he said in an interview on CNN. Why would that be news?
Comment by ImNotBlue — March 16, 2007 @ 7:51 pm
Start looking to Trump to reinforce your opinion, and your in trouble and most likely a moron.
Comment by MQ — March 16, 2007 @ 8:00 pm
INB you would have to admit that FNC probably covered the story more than the other cable news channel. I would even go as far as to say some of the personnels over at FNC (especially Sean Hannity) seemed oddly gleeful about the whole incident, i saw an interview he did with ED. Hill in which she seemed to be tweaking him to make even more rantings. Lets not even mention Sean Hannity.
I have to give credit to O’Reilly however for trying to show Trump how ridiculous the whole feud was, but Trump would have none of it.

Sure… the story of the fight between Trump and Rosie, bit over hyped… because a bunch of them really dislike Rosie. But what does that have to do with anything? Are you suggesting that if you approve or someone’s comments once, you have to approve of them all the time?
Trump and Rosie had a big CELEBRITY fight… politics were at no point a part of their fight. The celebrity is what made the story juicy… now, Trump is just another celebrity bashing Bush… where’s the story there?
Comment by ImNotBlue — March 16, 2007 @ 10:45 pm
Of course the interview is not news but this is the type of story that FNS reports on 24-7 if favorable to the administration. FNS kept fawning over Trump’s money, his stature, his hair and the fact that he has never been bankrupt. So now Trump is dumping on bush; hey thats all I am saying! IS Trump FNS friend or foe?
Comment by alice cervantes — March 16, 2007 @ 10:57 pm
Donald,
Your views about the Bush crime family aren’t welcome by the viewers of Fox News unless of course, your weighing in on Anna Nicole Smith’s death or Rosie’s physical appearance.

I’m not saying anything Trump says should have credence over anything else anyone else says, but he has always been a public figure, appearing on shows like Larry king’s and O’Reilly”s where they will ask him his position on current events.
Again i will say that there is no reason why his opinion should be noted more than anyone elses but that can be said for any public figure or talking head. My problem is that some are saying they dont see why anyone tries to ask him his opinions and i’m just saying thats what they have always done. And you cant get all upset when he expresses an opinion you dont like as two years ago he was on O’reilly saying he voted for Bush as he’s good for his business but there was no one upset then.

Best said by #5 Keyser Soze, #14 ImNotBlue, #17 Sam — Put “ALL” of their comments together, sort out the excess — Result: He is a “CELEBRITY” who we are enjoy when it is a “juicy story”, he has no “bloody CREDENTIALS to opine about politics, however the media does “ask him his opinions”.
Me — Glad to see you actually know a Republican. You say, “the people here HATE the TRUTH” — Would that be “YOUR TRUTH” or “THE TRUTH”, much like “your facts” of “the facts”, could it be that the commenters on this blog are in your words “not commenting in the way you want it said”.
Comment by Aunt Mary — March 17, 2007 @ 12:00 pm
This is just another celebrity giving their opinion on current events and news. He is entitled to his opinion and because of who he is, gets the interview in which to air what he thinks. However, my opinions/beliefs/feelings are neither swayed nor influenced by Trump or any other Hollywood know-it-all.
Comment by jerziegrl — March 17, 2007 @ 1:12 pm
Not surprisingly Angry Alice has the story wrong. The only Fox person who openly supported Trump over Rosie was Sean Hannity. Most of the others interviewed, listened, and laughed!
Elmonica: Those “Bush crime family” comments helped drive Air America into bankruptcy. Their few listers and affiliates ran away from such garbage!
How many pitchers of Kool-Aid did you drink before you logged on?

Ira… elmonica IS the Kool-Aid man… sans big smile. Imagine a big angry looking pitcher… Liberal Blue-Berry flavor… with dreadlocks for hair. It’s high in volume, but low in substance.
