Ainsley Earhardt profile…

The State’s Bertram Rantin has a profile of FNC’s Ainsley Earhardt which also lets slip something regarding wardrobe selection that I was surprised to see publicly mentioned…(via FTVLive)

“New York is wonderful. You walk out the door, and there is a cafe right there.” Earhardt said. “That’s where Kevin likes his blueberry muffin in the morning, and I like my coffee.”

Since starting her new job at FOX, Earhardt said she’s had the chance to meet many of the daytime and prime-time anchors at the network, adding all have been very helpful.

“I met some of the people I had been watching for years. And it was so much fun.”

And with the bigger market have come other changes. Earhardt’s on-air clothes are provided by the network, and makeup artists select her colors and apply her makeup each evening. That means she must go to work each day without makeup, and she admits that has taken some adjustments.

  1. I guess this clears up why Kiran dresses different on CNN, eh?

  2. I wish they would put Ainsley on F&F weekend again.

  3. Probably means she picks the clothes and FNC pays for them. That’s what Fox’s local anchor Jodi Applegate said when she was talking about her wardrobe. She goes out and buys whatever she wants and the network pays for them, she did say you can’t go all crazy on the $$$.

  4. From what I hear that’s probably not the case…

  5. Ainsley was great on F&F weekends when she filled in a few weeks ago. Wish they would put her on F&F full time! She had great chemistry the weekend guys.

  6. Greg Kelly likes women like Courtney and Ainsley. He can dominate them, put them on the spot, say sarcastic comments etc… It was the other way around last weekend with Julie. You could tell he didn’t have the upper hand, felt uncomfortable at times etc..

  7. What? Ainsley? Paige hopkins is the best host they have put into the mix on both f&f weekends and weekday!! Greg Kelly was actually funny with her and on the weekdays she is sooo superior to Gretchen..what are they thinking at fox? ainsley is nice but milktoast, pretty but not loads of personality and smarts which is what that show needs. Paige is funny, sexy and smart.. put paige on f&f weekdays or at least weekends!

  8. Lurker: Bashing Greg Kelly?

Maybe Ainsley should give you that cup of coffee! :)

  9. I liked Julie Bandaras the best. I agree with Lurker on this one. Julie makes the playing field more even. Something bugs me about Greg but when Julie was on he was OK.
Being a women, I have seen some men not know how to handle themselves around beautiful women. They either get shy or they sweat and get nervous or they make sarcastic comments (Greg does the comments one). But with Julie being such a strong out spoken women and beautiful, Greg can’t get away with making such comments.
And I’m a FOX fan saying this. Just my observation with Greg.

  10. Julie seems opinionated, and I think that’s a good quality to have on a program like F & F. Maybe they could put her in that spot temporarily.

I really don’t like either Kelly Wright or Greg Kelly as F & F hosts. They should go back to reporting, and let Fox find some people with more animated personalities to co-host that program.
Aisnley seems like a good fit for Fox. And I really think she resembles E.D.! I was quite far away from my TV when I first saw her, and I actually thought she was E.D.

I do like Julie, and think she’s got a strong personality and can therefore put forth a lot of good comments

  11. Page & Janice have been the best for Fox & Friends Weekend. Julie was good; it was nice to see her in a different mode than when she’s on “Big Story” on the weekends. Sorry, Ainsley & Courtney may be attractive, but they just had absolutely NO chemistry with Greg & Kelly (who are great on the show). I’m just glad they got rid of Julian, Mike & Juliette. I wish Alisyn would hurry & get back from maternity leave and take her rightful place back in the center chair.

  12. I wrote to Spud earlier about all the typos, etc. that I make on this site. And now that I’ve reviewed my comments in post #10, I was certainly right!

Anyway, I meant to say that because Julie B. seems opinionated, she’d be perfect as permanent host for F & F, weekend OR weekday. And as far as Courtney, she seems fine for frivilous or entertainment type programs, but certainly not for anything of substance. Maybe she’s just young. But Ainsley seems to have more substance, so maybe she’d work out.

  13. This is so funny because everyone has their own opinions on who should be on F&F. LOL!
#11 I loved Mike and Juliet, and I can even say now that I miss Julian (well, just a little). ;)
But yes I also like Page and Janice.
I guess no matter what FOX does with F&F’s, someone (or alot of someones) will not be happy.

  14. Personally, I like Kelly Wright on the weekends. He is smart, interesting, and likeable; perfect to listen to on Sunday mornings while getting ready for church. I think Greg Kelly is a bit more of an acquired taste but he’s OK. I also think Page Hopkins between them would be a better fit.

  15. I thought Ainsley was great on F&F.Considering that it was her first time as a morning show co-host in the #1 market, I think her more soft-spoken, less-opinionated demeanor was just an example of her ability to be gracious in her new role. I thought she was sincere and connected well with co-hosts and viewers. On the other hand Julie is overbearing and Paige seems like she could scratch your eyes out if you catch her on a bad day. I think Ainsley brings puts smart, sensible and lady-like back into a harsh media enviornment! Courtney is okay, but like a previous poster, I think entertainment news fits her bubbly personality. Ainsley is more well-rounded, and polished.
