Dressing for TV is not easy. The camera adds 10 pounds, and colors must be chosen with care.
The key, says Megyn Kelly, co-anchor of Fox News’s “America’s Newsroom,” is bright colors. She and other Fox correspondents have a style department that oversees their ensembles. “I was a corporate lawyer and my entire wardrobe was black, brown, navy and gray,” Kelly recalls. That might be acceptable in a courtroom, she says, but for TV, “it’s dull and not interesting to look at.”
Now her wardrobe is bursting with “reds, yellows, purples, pinks and oranges.”
As A.B. Stoddard, The Hill’s own TV personality, notes, “Turquoise, purple, red and orange may have gone out of fashion 15 years ago, but they are still the most flattering on television. Banana Republic Beige and chalk-gray are hip but can add several years or make you look nauseous.”
This Kelly person is such a fraud.

I know lots of guys think she is really hot but personally, not being a guy, I cannot stand to watch her news delivery. She literally yells the news and there is that staccato thing where she so carefully emphasis each word separately and frankly, it is just uncomfortable to watch her. She is loud, and I think comes off as a wee bit sold on herself. She seems cold and unapproachable - the kind of gal that has few female friends. Just my opinion…

Why is it that in interviews Fox News women only seem to be quoted about their dress sense and lifestyle? That never seems to be the case with the females on the other networks.

Sophia - Blame the control room on the sound issues with Megyn. They have the power to soften her voice level.
I like Megyn. She’s a lawyer and is slowly learning to loosen up on-air.
Sadly, the wardrobe dept seems to like to recycle the womens’ clothing for the network. Megyn had on a pink wraparound the other day that I have seen on Gretchen at least twice, and it looked horrible on both women.
