  1. 4th in key, beloved, coveted all important demo; second overall. Well at least KO is maintaining his firm grasp on the old people.

    Comment by Edward Schatz — March 29, 2007 @ 6:36 pm

  2. IF Im KO and MSNBC, Im fine with these numbers for him, as well as the numbers overall for th week.

    Comment by Randy — March 29, 2007 @ 6:44 pm

  3. Well Randy, if you are happy coming in last in the demo over HLN repeatedly and having the 10pm rerun of your flagship show get crushed, by all means, be hapy.

    Comment by Edward Schatz — March 29, 2007 @ 6:49 pm

  4. KO was usually better in the demo than the overall, weird the older people are starting to watch, and the younger crowd are tuning out.

  5. *happy

  6. KO was usually better in the demo than the overall, weird the older people are starting to watch, and the younger crowd are tuning out.

Jim, it appears that a number of them have just switched to the 10PM repeat. The demos for the rerun is proportionally quite large.

    Comment by Arthur — March 29, 2007 @ 7:11 pm

  7. Hey Edward, Im sure you havent noticed that he doesnt finish below HLN repeatedly, and in fact this week has finised ahead of them I believe on Monday and Tuesday.

    Comment by Randy — March 29, 2007 @ 7:28 pm

  8. In fact, KO more than doubled her on Tuesday in the demo. He was a little off on the demo numbers on Wednesday, but still finished in second place in total viewers.

    Comment by Randy — March 29, 2007 @ 7:31 pm

  9. Despite competing with the American Idol results show in most of the USA, a better than average night for Hannity and Colmes; nearly 2:1 over LKL.

    Comment by Ira — March 29, 2007 @ 7:34 pm

  10. Arthur means the ratio of demo over total, ie, demo divided by total. It’s greater than 1/2(50%), which is pretty darn good.
If Arthur told his girlfriend that he’s got 50%, when she’s used to somewhere between 10% and 25%, she would be pretty happy.

  11. Maybe people like the new set for H&C

    Comment by Chet — March 29, 2007 @ 7:48 pm

  12. Has MSNBC been promoting the Countdown repeat at 10 p.m.?

    Comment by Maddy — March 29, 2007 @ 8:34 pm

  13. Last night Joe Scarborough had a “Special” with Dateline. No politics. He still had good numbers (for his show). I have often slammed Joe for the fact that he does not represent the views of the “Redneck Riviera” of the Gulf Coast (his home). Why, because the people are heavy right and Joe is not. However, I think Joe is at his best with topics other that politics. He is doing more and more variety and he really shines, smiles and genuinely seems to enjoy himself. He is more of a showman at heart and I think he is trying to create his own style show with a lot less politics.

    Comment by Aunt Mary — March 29, 2007 @ 9:05 pm

  14. As far as I’ve seen there’s been no promotion for the 10pm repeat.

    Comment by Spud — March 29, 2007 @ 10:01 pm

  15. Chet: Although we don’t have the ratings by quarter-hour, I’ll bet Hannity and Colmes was much higher in the final 30 minutes, after American Idol and also during President Bush’s comedy routine at the Radio and TV Correspondents’ Dinner.

    Comment by Ira — March 29, 2007 @ 10:30 pm

  16. Yes Ira I was watching it on H&C.. I thought Bush was pretty funny… anyways, I can’t stand Jane Fleming (the dem. strategist on FOX).. she cant ever criticize dems on the most obvious things

    Comment by Chet — March 29, 2007 @ 11:33 pm

  17. Chet, are you kidding me? Why on Earth would a dem strategist criticize their own party?? That wouldnt be doing her job very well, would it?

    Comment by Randy — March 29, 2007 @ 11:52 pm

  18. Has that genius from the Cornell Alumni Magazine issued a correction yet for his comical and bogus claim that Olbermann has a lock on “second” place?

    Comment by Tom — March 30, 2007 @ 12:20 am

  19. Randy– Hannity criticizes Republicans for spending and on immigration… that woman, Jane Fleming, just doesn’t answer questions that shes asked.. pay attention

    Comment by Chet — March 30, 2007 @ 10:18 am

  20. Chet, Hannity is not a Republican Strategist. He is just a baffoon. Its Jane Fleming’s job to always defend the party.

    Comment by Randy — March 30, 2007 @ 12:48 pm

  21. So…… If Hannity is a baffoon with his ratings then what does that make Larry King and Joe Scarborough? It must suck to have a baffoon beat you night after night.

And while were at it……What happened to that “”FIRM”" grip somebody had on second place?
