FTVLive predicts Dan Abrams’ fate…
FTVLive does another one of its long range crystal ball seances and conjurs up Dan Abrams being stripped of his GM title at some point in the future after MSNBC moves to 30 Rock.

I would imagine that would be true if HLN continues to beat MSNBC in the nighttime demo.

Abrams was setup from the start to take the fall for the failure of the Doc Block which wasn’t even his idea.

And I just love how Olbermann has stabbed Abrams in the back with some his foolish comments even after Dan coinvinced CNBC to move Deal or no Deal.

Interesting I hadn’t heard that Abrams engineered that switch.
As for Olbermann stabbing coworker/boss in the back . . . is anyone really surprised? What a guy.

This isn’t anything new. It has been talked about for months now.

I haven’t read/heard anything official about Abrams asking CNBC to move Deal or no Deal - that just seems to be supposition on the part of people on here who only seem to exist to go on and on and on and on and on about how Olbermann is a living embodiment of the devil.
Why would MSNBC want to change their management when they are going through a successful and stable period (by their standards)?

I think if the story is true that it’s probably strictly a natural organizational reshuffle as a result of bringing MSNBC in to 30 Rock. The question is does the network really need a GM when it’s located in the same location as NBC News’ heirarchy? Perhaps NBC News wants to directly manage MSNBC itself to better integrate it into NBC News?

The Deal or No Deal thing belongs solely to eddiebear. Eddiebear has posted it here 15-20 times that I’ve seen.
As for Abrams, it did seem strange when Kaplan was replaced with two people, adding a level to middle management.

I’d say Abrams has done a good job; ratings are up and probably more important, he is saving money for NBCU.
Kaplan left the place in shambles!

I predicted he’d fall the day he got the job. He’s nothing but a “Grecian Formula” little weasel.
