The winners of the Kiethies are announced…
…and the winner in the Greatest Animal in all of the Internet category was a clip of a cat that went bezerk and attacked its handler. However this clip originally was aired on NBC over a decade and a half ago on Dick Clark’s Bloopers and Practical Jokes. I recognized it instantly (you don’t see cats go bonkers like THAT that often). I guess nobody on the Countdown production staff knew this or if they did they didn’t care.

Spud, either way, this is yet another example of one of KO’s worst traits. He is incredibly lazy, lifts material from other sources without attribution and then attempts to claim them for his own.

I was waiting for someone to say that. I’ll cut them some slack on this. It was nearly 20 years ago or more after all. It’s not like there’s some sort of database archive they can search through for screwed up attack cat videos.
The only reason I posted this at all was because it won for best internet video but it originally was broadcast on TV and probably captured to tape and then years later put on the internet.

I think someone is not getting the joke.

If anybody at Meltdown would have bothered to do the least bit of work, they could have come up with a newer one.
In fact, theres one on you tube thats about a month old with, if I remember a local fox reporter with a cat at a shelter and the cat wacks her good. So this is just another example of Lazy workers just skatin’ by.
It’s nice to see they think so much of their audience.

Spud:
I agree with your statement about the age of the video. KO’s people are priobably too young to have seen this originally. That said, to go out and not give context to the video is slipshod work at best.

#5, Olbermann has played the one with the cat attacking the Fox reporter a number of times as part of Oddball.

Is anyone surprised that Keith isn’t overly concerned with facts and accuracy?

I’m surprised he doesn’t fall asleep during the show - he’s repeated these videos so many times. Plus you know they’ll show up as a Keithie special some night.
