Sean Hannity profile…
Newsday’s Verne Gay has a profile of Sean Hannity…
His office at Fox is literally on the opposite end of the floor from O’Reilly’s. There have been long-standing rumors at Fox that he and fellow Long Islander O’Reilly don’t like each other, so the office placement is fortuitous. Hannity will say only that O’Reilly is “wrong on a lot of things.” Up on a bookshelf, Hannity has a small-scale model of that famous scene at Ground Zero with the firefighters hoisting the flag. (There’s a life-size model at home.) His father was in the Navy during the Big One, and he shows me the huge bowie knife his dad carried around.
“If you know Sean personally as I do,” says friend, mentor and Fox senior vice president of programming Bill Shine, “then you’d know he’s a very nice, sweet person, who takes his kids to the park. On the other hand, when it comes to politics, he’s the most … passionate guy I know.”
Oh yeah.
“If I didn’t have this outlet,” Hannity says, referring to both TV shows, “I’d be driving around in a car giving monologues to myself. … It’s a passion. These are very consequential times.”
For those who don’t know what he’s referring to, here’s the brief annotated list: The war, border protection, “Islamofascism” (”no doubt about the threat”) and government growth - his one point of departure from Bush.

No, that’s NOT his only point of departure from Bush. Hannity is anti-amnesty/pro-border protection. The President is not.

Actually, he’s pretty much talking to himself on the air, too! Other than his coterie of questionable friends, name one person who’s had a meaningful debate on his program.
Might as well talk to the furniture and the choir.

He’s not a fan of the out of control spending that has risen during the Bush years either. All the libs accuse Hannity & everyone at FOX of just being Bush cheerleaders, but if you actually watch or listen to him, you realize that’s not the case.

I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Bigred, that’s not the case? So, even though he constantly yells the Bush line on about everything else, that doesn’t mean he’s a Bush cheerleader? In all honesty, the whole idea that he talks too much and it’s all about him is completely true watching Hannity’s America, and to a lesser extent, H&C. If anything, I honestly hate the guy, but I guess someone has to represent each side, Colmes not doing a half=bad job representing the Democratic liberal/progressive side.

David: Himself and 13.5 million radio listeners a week!
I’ll use this topic to recommend that Hannity’s America concentrate more on investigative reporting as they did this week (the Imam/US Air and Noriega stories) and less on the “2 on 2″ shoutfest.

#4… Are you from Canada or Europe? We don’t say that in the States.
