Imus Fired: Finger pointing..

TVWeek’s Michele Greppi writes about the Imus firing and castigates MSNBC for taking this long to do it. Here’s Greppi’s $64,000 nut graph, versions of this theme I have seen on other locales of the internet as well, and should be pinned on bulletin boards all over 30 Rock and Secaucus…

What can we say about NBC News having assigned women anchors to sit in on “Imus in the Morning,” and smile while enduring language and behavior that would have been grounds for firing on the MSNBC side of their shared studio? Is an official shrug an acceptable response?

  1. I agree with Michele Greppi on this. Bad management at MSNBC! This could of been handled a long time ago and maybe Imus would still be on the air today.

  2. I could never understand how they let Imus and Bernie get away with those horrible insults hurled at Contessa Brewer. It was terrible and I never heard a word about the powers that be telling him to knock it off and yet she stayed and endured it.

  3. If he said this stuff yesterday no one would have cared. He just said it during a slow news cycle. Woe to him.
