  1. Bad numbers for Smerconish

  2. Bad numbers for MSNBC all around.

  3. just flipping through the channels…what’s BO’s obsession with rosie o donnell? My gosh, she has as much right to say what she wants as he does! one might think BO loves her or something!

    Comment by Me — April 24, 2007 @ 8:19 pm

  4. and..no news is bad news for cnn. i guess we wait until the next story to come around to see the numbers shoot up again.

    Comment by Me — April 24, 2007 @ 8:20 pm

  5. I demand a recount! AM’s numbers are way too low. But, don’t worry, they’ll bounce back to higher than the dynamic duo of O’Brien&O’Brien.

    Comment by Terance — April 24, 2007 @ 8:24 pm

  6. Yeah, but Bill doesn’t usually grab his crotch when he gives his point of view.

    Comment by Jim — April 24, 2007 @ 8:24 pm

  7. KO settling back into 4th in the ever critical demo.

    Comment by Jim — April 24, 2007 @ 8:25 pm

  8. Rosie talks nonsense to a mostly female audience, has no real debate, and presents no real facts. Additionally, she has used her platform to attack FNC and O’Reilly (with no back up for her statements) on many occasions.

I don’t understand why everyone gets on FNC when they talk about other media personalities. No matter who’s talking about who… it’s never good, they’re not supposed to do it, and they “obsessed.” Other media personalities can talk about FNC every night, using gross distortions and flat out lies, and it’s A-OK. What’s the deal folks?

    Comment by ImNotBlue — April 24, 2007 @ 8:25 pm

  9. I wonder what Randy’s excuse will be as to why Countdown was so low again! when PZ & NG beats KO in the demo, that says something… Again I ask, why does all the media give KO all this coverage when his ratings are simply avg… I dont see BO, H&C or Greta featured in magazines and newspapers like larry king or KO are

  10. Alison Stewart hosted Countdown on Monday (and tonight).

  11. Yikes! What happened at AM? I am curious if that is a fluke or what. Kiran and John are much better then the O’Brien’s. It looks like F&F picked up the difference there. Odd.

  13. What was that Chet/Jim?

    Comment by Randy — April 24, 2007 @ 8:53 pm

  14. MSNBC, HLN, and CNN were down across the board. HLN may have beat MSNBC in the demo; but that was simply because HLN was down less than MSNBC.

    Comment by erljr — April 24, 2007 @ 9:41 pm

  15. ohh please INB, Rosie might be loud and obnoxious but she’s hardly covering Elizabeth’s or any of the other lady’s mouth on the view. Plus FNC has used its platform to push a certain agenda, lets not forget the San francisco value theme that was ever so popular among the FNC shows during the run up to the election. What about the constant jabs that O’Reilly use to take at Hillary Clinton, he finally stopped like a year and a half ago but still insists on putting on Dick Morris, without anyone on his show to counter what Dick Morris is saying.
lets not forget that BO himself said that MSNBC peddles in hate, though he gave no facts to back that claim up.
And when did FNC become a media angel, they’re probably the most ruthless of the networks, lest you forget how they treated Paula Zahn when she moved over to CNN, the jabs they have repeatedly took at CNN and CNN talents.

    Comment by Sam — April 24, 2007 @ 9:59 pm

  16. H & C, and Joe Scarborough, are reporting on Rosie’s vitriol as much as is O’Reilly. I haven’t watched Tucker Carlson in a while, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he went after her as well.

    Comment by Missy — April 24, 2007 @ 10:06 pm

  17. Though American Morning’s numbers clearly surpass the previous O’Brien & O’Brien format, I expected better. However, over time, I still expect Roberts & Chetry to increasingly close the gap on Fox & Friends.

    Comment by Objective Analyst — April 24, 2007 @ 10:18 pm

  18. 1- Rosie doesn’t have to cover anyone’s mouth because she out volumes them. Besides, Behar and her work in tandem… and Elisabeth is the only right-of-center at the desk, and is known for being very weak… especially when faced with two shouting irrationals.

2- The “San Fran” values is an angle worth talking about… especially after the other day’s declaration that they are a “Sanctuary City” and will actively not help or follow federal laws regarding immigration (that’s from the mayor). Even been to San Fran… I have… it really is like another world.

3- What jabs at Clinton? What are you talking about? And Dick Morris WORKED for Bill Clinton… he is an expert, and is brought on to share his experience with her and her husband.

4- When did he say they peddle hate? He’s said they’re biased, he’s said they’re irresponsible, he said they hate FOX… is that what you mean? Watch Olbermann for a night… you’ll see all those things are true. No opposing view points, ever… stories sourced with ultra-left wing websites, and mistakes almost never corrected… and how many stories has he done about O’Reilly and FNC? Hundreds?

5- Who said anything about them being “media angles”? No, actually, I don’t remember the PZ thing… I was in college at the time (I think… maybe high school, when was it?) and had other things on my mind. But you prove my point. Anytime FNC talks about another personality, or network… they’re big time bad guys, declaring “war” on the competition. But when another network talks about FNC, they’re heroic, taking on the big guys, or a “thorn in their side.” Why the double standard?

    Comment by ImNotBlue — April 24, 2007 @ 10:25 pm

  19. Interesting to see that PZN is STILL doing relatively well…hope she can hang on to these gains.

  20. Blue, if you still believe Dick Morris is anything besides a bitter Clinton hating toe-sucker, than you have no clue what is going on in the world.

    Comment by Randy — April 24, 2007 @ 10:32 pm

  21. I see no more reason to call him a “toe-sucker,” than I see to call Bill Clinton a “cigar-sticker.”

But I digress… yeah, he’s bitter. He’s clearly bitter. But he does have a long history in politics, he was there in the White House for a long time, and his expertise in the field is undeniable.

If you can’t get passed the fact that he’s one of those pesky Democrats who stopped towing the Howard Dean line, and therefore has no value anymore, well then you should probably head on back to the blue blogs where you’re view will be celebrated.

    Comment by ImNotBlue — April 24, 2007 @ 10:36 pm

  22. Missy — I do not often watch H&C but as for Scarborough, I see his show monday thru thursday and Joe slams Rosie just as much as O’Reilly does.

  23. Wow! Models did poorly. I guess Dan must be scratching his head going. ‘I thought sex sells?’

Yes Randy, who can forget those wonderful days when Dick would be on the phone to Bill. And Dick would be getting his toes sucked and Bill would have Monica…………

  25. Randy: It’s all very simple:

Dick Morris loves Bill and hates Hill!

And if Hillary called you are Jew Bastard, you also wouldn’t like her.

  26. Right on IRA.. a lot of good comments on here tonight!!

    Comment by Chet — April 24, 2007 @ 11:21 pm

  27. Dick Morris is clearly a conservative, he converted. The guy has nothing but disdain for the Clintons’s and he aint no objective political analyst, if you want an objective political analyst check Candy Kurley (or whichever way her name is spelt). The point is that Bill has him on all the time and allow him to spew all this venom at Miss Clinton, without anyone from the Clinton camp to say otherwise. The guy is clearly obsessed and bitter, to have him on as a political expert on issues related to the Clintons, would be like Paul McCartney calling up Heather Mills for a character reference.
The San Fran thing was not a legitimate issue, but simply a scare tactic conjured up by the right wing machinery to save their sorry asses in the 06 midterms, and as you can see no one bought it.
INB you should watch your idol BO’s show more often as he said it about two weeks or so ago, in a segment in which he had Michelle Maulkin and Christen Powers about the IMUS situation.
Ohh please ultra left blue blogs my butt, alot of the stuff that O’Reilly, Hannity and even Cavuto are the same stuff you see on the ultra right wing blogs and publications and i dont hear you complaining about that, as it is perfectly inline with your political ideology.

    Comment by Sam — April 25, 2007 @ 2:23 am

  28. whats with Hannity and Colmes numbers going down?
and could someone tell me the story with Dick Morris and toe sucking?

    Comment by Sal Jr — April 25, 2007 @ 3:06 am

  29. ***Blue, if you still believe Dick Morris is anything besides a bitter Clinton hating toe-sucker, than you have no clue what is going on in the world.***

    Randy & Sam,
Morris dislikes Hillary (presumably because of the way she treated him in the past) but loves Bill. He’s on record saying that he was a great prez and that he would’ve voted for him again if given the opportunity. He is also on record saying that he’s moved to the right after 9/11 (as did many) so anyone saying that he’s a lib because he worked for Clinton is speaking in the past.

***The point is that Bill has him on all the time and allow him to spew all this venom at Miss Clinton, without anyone from the Clinton camp to say otherwise.***

Morris is a paid FNC contributor & he generally is allowed his own segment and is either preceded by or followed by someone with the opposing point of view. I can’t confirm this for Fox but I’ve heard radio shows that said that Morris requests to go on ‘alone’ so that he won’t be debating someone but rather have the segment to himself. O’Reilly usually gives all sides and to state otherwise is to be deceitful.

***The guy is clearly obsessed and bitter***
Right on schedule, you guys cue up the “we need to smear this person because they said something we disagree with” band. [sigh] You know, you’re becoming parodies of yourselves.

    Comment by RW — April 25, 2007 @ 9:51 am

  30. I don’t like Roberts and Chetry together, they have NO chemistry. Roberts had better numbers covering for primetime.

Did you see Anderson’s numbers? *snicker* People tune in to see what’s going on then tune right back out. I wonder is Klein will ever figure that out or if his love is too strong and enduring. *sigh*

    Comment by Cooperite — April 25, 2007 @ 10:09 am

  31. Countdown with Alison Stewart still did pretty good, almost beating Paula. I think the Countdown numbers will go back up when Olbermann comes back. Love him or hate him, people tune in to see HIM. Olbermann has become (is becoming?) a “celebrity journalist” (which is kind of funny, because its just what he gives digs to Anderson Cooper for being).

This story from 1999 tells about the toe-sucking incident and how much he hates not just Hillary, but Bill too.

    Comment by Randy — April 25, 2007 @ 10:51 am

  35. RW you are the one that is being decietful, as when BO has Morris on it is not usually proceeded by someone with a different view point, you can go back and check for yourself. After he does his political talk with Morris, he usually moves on to another segment.
The only person smearing, is Dick morris RW, but you guys love smear, especially when its directed at the Clintons, that’s why y’all love him so much.

    Comment by Sam — April 25, 2007 @ 3:23 pm

  36. BTW when does someone implying that a former first couple are involved in blacklisting and murdering their detractors make them an objective political expert, only among the rabid right wing i tell you.

  37. “get lost obama” Comment by Chet — April 25, 2007 @ 10:34 am

Reading your previous comments, no offense taken (certainly not from a loser troll like yourself).

    Comment by Obama in 08! — April 25, 2007 @ 4:06 pm

  38. Sam, I can almost see you spitting at the monitor, foaming at the mouth, as you try to pass off your hate as some sort of fact.

If you actually read any of the right-wing websites, you’d see they don’t have much admiration for O’Reilly. Most call him a populist… but certainly not part of their team.

But that doesn’t matter… because you’re part of the “with us, or against us” crew. Either you’re a whacked out liberal (who you call a “moderate” although you’d never give anyone with an opposing viewpoint the time of day)… or you are the devil.

And the only thing that upsets you more than people actually questioning you… is people who once agreed with, but have matured and changed an opinion or two. They are traitors, who deserve no respect, and are worthy of any and every smear. Dick Morris, is one of those guys. You (and your crew) weren’t so upset of the whole “toe sucking” stuff when he was the Clinton’s buddy. Then it wasn’t any of our business.

But that’s okay. There are plenty of people like you. They hang on those blue blogs… I mean, moderate news watcher blogs. I’m sure they’ll celebrate your irrationalities there.

(PS… did you mean “Candy Crowley”? Because a quick Google search pulls up that she’s been written up by Media Matters at least once… you sure you want to turn on the pack and say she’s ‘okay’?)

    Comment by ImNotBlue — April 25, 2007 @ 4:33 pm

  39. INB i suggest that you examine yourself, Aren’t you the one who follows Olbermann Watch.
By the way when did saying someone has switched sides a statement of hate. If you want to address hate why dont you come up with a reason as to why Dick morris goes around suggesting that the clintons are involved in murdering people.
But i guessed in your whacked out mind that type of stuff is what moderates and objective people do.
yes i did mean Candy Crowley, i now that for a loon like you she might be another left wing mouth piece, but to me she’s objective.

    Comment by Sam — April 26, 2007 @ 3:24 am

  40. I dare you to find one hateful thing i’ve said about O’Reilly on this site, i doubt you can. You on the other hand seem to have nothing but Disdain for KO.

    Comment by Sam — April 26, 2007 @ 3:26 am

  41. ***RW you are the one that is being decietful, as when BO has Morris on it is not usually proceeded by someone with a different view point, you can go back and check for yourself.*****

I have…he does. Not always, but generally (which is what I stated). Read for comprehension.

****The only person smearing, is Dick morris RW***
    Yeah, the ‘bitter’ guy.
LOL, are you literally trying to eliminate any and all credibility?

****, but you guys love smear, especially when its directed at the Clintons****
Wait, just one sentence ago you said the only person smearing is Morris. Now you’ve jumped full-bore into moonbat territory. ???

****that’s why y’all love him so much.****
I can’t speak for “y’all”, but I personally don’t care for Morris. I don’t care for Chris Matthews, either, but I can and do note their keen political insights (and I’m not so idiotic that I feel the need to use a bulletin board to attempt to denigrate their character in order to squelch their voices).

***BTW when does someone implying that a former first couple are involved in blacklisting and murdering their detractors make them an objective political expert***
Look up “imply” and then “infer”. Then consider yourself educated.

****only among the rabid right wing i tell you. ***
Bill Maher and Rosie O’Donnell would be quite proud.

Your blue-blog-commenting-esque skirt is showing, thus I’m compelled to say “sorry, I don’t converse with nutcase moonbats that aren’t worth my time”, so……bye.

    Comment by RW — April 26, 2007 @ 10:09 am

  42. RW good try but Pathetic as i expected. Its nice to see how when you cant make any valid points you resort to typical name calling.
saying somebody is bitter is not character assasination- but if someone goes around instigating that the Clinton’s are involved in murdering people without offering any proof; they’re probably bitter.
Probably you should do a tally, as when Dick Morris is on, he’s rarely followed by somebody of a different point of view, you can check for yourself. Though i know you wont.
