  1. I don’t know if you’re going to post another thread about the debate, but can someone tell me why MSNBC is putting email questions up in a faux graphic of a web browser hardly anyone uses? Isn’t it a slap in the face to Microsoft?

  2. Haha! Sure! Big mistake! What the hell means MSN on MSNBC!

  3. I’m interested to see how MSNBC does in the ratings tonight. They SHOULD easily beat FNC, CNN, and the rest. If they don’t… Wow. What does that say about the Dem’s decision to not do FNC? Hmmm.

  4. INB is playing his own version of the expectations game.

  5. INB, I dont think you realize how much of the base wouldnt watch a debate if it were on Fox.

  6. An interesting point, Randy. There are a lot of ideological boneheads out there on the left who wouldn’t want anything on FOX, even if it was their own kind.

BUT… the question is, are there enough of them to cover FNC’s average audience? If FNC still wins the night, wouldn’t that imply that MSNBC just isn’t reaching the biggest audience it potentially could?

  7. I would argue first that you are the bonehead. And second, I would argue that the base of the democratic party watches CNN and MSNBC.

  8. It’s so early only die hards are going to watch. It’s not even close to primary season yet. This is all just inside the Beltway stuff. Way inside…

  9. Randy… watch it… or I’ll have your mom send you to your room.

Cut your nose to spite your face type of stuff… if the Dems wouldn’t watch FNC. If they would boycott just because they don’t like what some people on FNC say (free speech, unless we don’t like it, then boycott) they might feel good, but would they really be doing? They wouldn’t be contributing to FNC’s funds, ratings, or anything like that… unless they’re Neilson families… so it would just be a “moral” victory at best… when in actuality, all they’d be doing is losing potential viewers.

And just whom do you think is the Democratic base? I’ll give you a hint, it’s not the MoveOn crowd… just like the Republican base isn’t the Christian Right.

It’s a real shame that over the past few weeks, you’ve gotten progressively more angry, and less rational. You might want to jump back on the meds before you hurt yourself.

INB, keep dreaming. MoveOn has over 3 million members (roughly the same size as the NRA’s membership, slighlty more in fact). These are politically knowledgeable grassroots activists. At what point did grassroots activists NOT become a part of a party’s base? Hmm?

If you can’t come to grips with the fact that this is the Democratic base, beating your party in the next election will be that much sweeter. You guys will not know what hit you (again!).

What audacity you have to try and let Democrats know who their base is. You know nothing of what our party is and isn’t. All you know are the talking points you are taught on Fox. (”far-left”, “blue-blogs”, “fringe elements”) It is absolutely laughable.

The Fox debates being dropped has brought a lot of the right-wing crazy out of the woodwork and it is a beautiful sight to behold. Here’s looking at you ImNotBlue!

  11. 1- Yeah, and how many of that 3 mill. are actually involved, and not just signed up on the website? I guess you could call me part of the Media Matters group too then.

2- They stopped being the base when they started believing crazy things like the US attacked itself on 9-11.

3- I liked the next paragraph of yours. You must be a big sports fan… cause you clearly have no grip on actual issues… just the idea a “winning” and “loosing.” What do you mean, “if you win?” I think first you have to worry about getting “your” candidate up in the polls. We know you’re not a fan of Hillary… I believe John Edwards is your man. How’s he doing in the polls these days?

4- My man, I will gladly talk about the Democrats, and you will just keep on talking about FOX. Wait, bad example… I actually know things about Democrats… you’ve never watched FOX… you just repeat the stuff you hear on the “blogs.”

5- Only in your mind, does the tails between their legs, running away of the Democrats because they’re too scared to stand up to big, bad ol’ FOX, mean that the right is crazy. I’d love to live in your world, but I’d be afraid I’d have to buy a bigger home just to contain my ego.

Oh, and one more question… if you and your lunatic friends are so influential… how’s Ned Lamont doing? Last I checked, you guys couldn’t actually manage to win a real election.
