George Tenet’s book on FNC…
FNC’s Catherine Herridge obtained a copy of George Tenet’s controversial 9/11 tell-all “At the Center of the Storm” in advance of its Monday release…
Throughout the morning, Steve and I have been pouring over a copy of the new book by former CIA director, George Tenet. It doesn’t go on sale until Monday but there’s a lot of new information, a lot of headlines.

No Thanks! I’ll Read Louis Freeh’s Book one more time …He was The FBI Director 1993-2001.

No Way! I’m still obsessing on Slick Willy and Hitlery. Anyone know when the next Ann Coulter book comes out?

Stay clear of this one. Tenet says Cheney and Rumsfeld inserted “crap” into public justifications for the war.
Like that matters to Fox viewers.

elmonica, we’ve seen Spud ban people for their obsessions with bashing MSNBC. I’m sure he’ll get to you eventually with your obsession of viewers of Fox.

Missy, this is a place of open discussion, and in many respects, I wouldn’t be amazed if many would turn a blind eye against this book considering it may have a bad view of the current administration, one which many FNC viewers would probably dislike, but still, bashing the viewers of one channel or the other should be allowed if careless. Anyway, sounds like a good book!

*I accidentally didn’t read my last post correctly, I actually ment “should not be allowed if careless”

Chris, it’s a constant thing with her, that’s all.

Please Missy, elmonica said nothing at all that is worthy of being banned. Elmonica didnt call anybody any names, just saying a simple truth, that many will turn a blind eye. Elmonica didnt call them stupid, like I do occasionally for the ones that are stupid. So lay off.

The problem, Randy, is “el” and you, consistently come on here and paint every single FOX viewer with the same brush… they’re all blind, dumb, Bush lovers who are too stupid to ever consider another viewpoint.
The facts show that more Dems and moderates watch FOX than either CNN or MSNBC.
I personally lean right, but I also like to hear opposing and imformed viewpoints on issues. With FOX, I get that. There is a reason they’re number one and it’s because they do it better than the others.

I dont paint with a broad brush. I think some people here think and make corehent arguments. NOt all though. Chet for example is one of those and I get kind of tired of him referring to me as UnAmerican or not patriotic. When I watch Fox, I hear that a lot. Fox and the Republicans brainwash people like Chet to believe that the democrats are not patriotic. And that idea that more dems and moderates watch Fox then watch MSNBC and CNN, doesnt make sense to me when 88 percent of Fox viewers also voted for Bush.
Comment by Randy — April 29, 2007 @ 10:47 pm
Ah yes. The Democratic Talking Point memo : “Don’t question my patriotism!” The problem is, people don’t question your patriotism. Any time a Dem gets criticized, their response is, “How dare you question my patriotism”. It’s a b.s. line because they can’t respond to the valid criticism.
I’m citing a valid poll done within the past few months. While there is a larger percentage of viewers who call themselves Republican watching FOX, the numbers of people who call themselves moderates or libs still outnumbers the viewership of the other two cable news outlets.

George Tent will most likely have himself a #1 best seller. However, why is it that everyone who decides to “TELL THE TRUTH a.k.a. SAY WHAT IS NEEDED TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK INNOCENT” needs to write a book and make a ten million $$$$$$’s? What ever happened to just being an “HONEST” person and doing your job. But I am sure this will be exciting for all the “nanny, nanny, boo, boo” crowd and it will be a shot in the arm for the talking heads!

This article reports that 88 percent of Fox Viewers voted for Bush in 2004, compared to 7 percent that voted for Kerry.
Oh and it isnt a talking point. Here is an article in politico.com from Tom Delay where in his last line, in case we havent realized it, he lets us know, “And yes, I am questioning their patriotism.”

SO bigred, please tell me about this talking point you speak of.

Red, I remember seeing that poll as well and wasn’t really surprised by the numbers as I’ve always believed that the “everyone who watches Fox is a Republican” assumption was unfounded. FNC is simply labeled a “conservative” news outlet because they make a concerted effort to air both liberal and conservative viewpoints, unlike many of the other news outlets.
Comment by Caufield — April 30, 2007 @ 8:35 am
hey Caufield, maybe fnc needs to concentrate a little more then on its effort. right now it just aint doin what u said. fnc hosts/anchors..whatever they call them, gets their marching orders from the top dog roger ailes..the same ailes that used to head major republican campaigns.
Comment by Me — April 30, 2007 @ 8:44 am
Me, the difference is that FNC at least makes the effort. The same can’t be said for the other outlets who present one side of an issue as fact. And to say the FNC is conservative because Ailes was involved in Republican campaigns is a non sequitur. If such a correlation made sense, I’d be interested to find out where Klein and Abrams send their campaign contributions.
