Controversy over Bob Franken’s departure from CNN?

Paul Bedard’s Washington Whispers says there may be more to this Bob Franken goodbye email than meets the eye…

We hear that correspondent Bob Franken wasn’t happy when cnn didn’t extend his contract. And now insiders aren’t happy with his goodbye note. It takes a shot at cable star Wolf Blitzer and ends with a promise to take his show to “another stage.” What happened? The star reporter wanted to cover the presidential race, but cnn wanted him to be a utility player. And insiders say he thinks he has that job lined up at another network.

  1. Well with Bob’s clear liberal slant and one sided reporting there will be plenty of potential fits out there. My guess NPR finds a spot for Bob.

  2. I hope Bob Franken’s maturity is not the reason they cut him loose. He’s an excellent reporter. I’d like to see FNC give him a position.
