I didnt see it, but from what I have heard from fellow liberals is that they loved her and have been sending many emails to MSNBC asking them to keep her. THey did however comment that they need to maybe show pictures of the people they are talking about, instead of simply showing them reading their scripts. THat was the one criticism that I saw. Just here to insert opinion from the libs.

it was better then watching that bald headed stooge that was on last week, plus you got somone dissing msnbc/mocking keith, plus it is a bit of a format with fans who call in, i would give Stephanie Miller a chance in the imus slot for a bit. the bush bashing was great by the way lol, the dude who mocks bush’s voice on the show was funny.
Comment by don — April 30, 2007 @ 4:53 pm
Imus must be laughing so much he’s in tears. She was terrible and showing the guy blowing into his sound effect devises, you’ve got to be kidding. She has to b a 3 day and out or the network will never survive with such a bias slant parading as news/entertainment.
Comment by Pat — April 30, 2007 @ 5:00 pm
I thought she was awful..She just doesn’t go over good on tv and I don’t want to start my day with her political agenda….Bring back IMUS
Comment by Ellen Sweeney — April 30, 2007 @ 5:02 pm
I don’t remember any Keith mocking and I’m a regular listener (if you’re referring to the “future-husband” thing, that’s part of the act and not really meant to mock Olbermann). I love Stephanie, but Jim Ward (the voice guy) is the only reason to listen (even when he goes all tin-foil hat on us).
Comment by Keyser Soze — April 30, 2007 @ 5:11 pm
I thought it was absolutely awful, much worse than last week, which was bad….turned it off!
Comment by cas — April 30, 2007 @ 5:19 pm
I flipped back and forth throughout the show and all she did was bash conservatives and republicans. Though there’s certainly nothing wrong with bashing politicos and media figures, that is the only thing that she did. The entire format of the show was taking shots, one after the other. Not knowing what to expect, I was truly surprised at shallowness of the her program.
Comment by Objective Analyst — April 30, 2007 @ 5:23 pm
Ten minutes is all I could take. Awful, absolutely awful!
Comment by Anne B. — April 30, 2007 @ 5:27 pm
A VERY different show than Imus, just in the way it’s executed. She seemed nervous and relies too heavy on sound drops.
Comment by Glen — April 30, 2007 @ 5:28 pm
One look at her flat hair had me changing channels faster than the whisper of Rick Sanchez’ voice. Somebody please do something with this womans hair before tomorrow!
Comment by Terance — April 30, 2007 @ 5:34 pm
the show was terrible. Bring back Mike from last week

I could not handle her either. I am tierd of all the Bush Bashing, republican bashing etc. Like Rodney King said “Can’t we all get along”. If she stays which is the MSNBC choice, I hope they put a disclaimer up of “Being Fair and Balance” as you know what I mean. Lets here some real news and some interesting stories……..
Comment by cathy — April 30, 2007 @ 5:51 pm
That’s all we need every morning = America bashing.
I could only take it for a few minutes at a time.
An absolute “No Way” from me.
I will never check it out again. Yes, my mind is closed on the matter.
Comment by cella — April 30, 2007 @ 5:55 pm
Equating criticizing a corrupt government with ‘America bashing’ is idiotic.
Comment by Steve — April 30, 2007 @ 5:56 pm
I wonder if some of those commenting above ever grow equally tired of Fox and Friends’ rather consistent Democrat-bashing, or whether they equate that with ‘America bashing’…
Comment by Jay — April 30, 2007 @ 6:02 pm
Yes, Steve is right. She’s not bashing America, she’s bashing the leaders who she disagree with. At least she is not blinded by party loyalty and can see the problems this country is facing.
Comment by James — April 30, 2007 @ 6:02 pm
I did see a clip of her today and she is hilarious!
Comment by Randy — April 30, 2007 @ 6:05 pm
Worst thing I have seen in a long time, almost embarassing. Three hours of her is tantamount to tortune. No, I didnt watch it for 3 hours as I couldn’t take it for more than a minute or two to know how bad it was. What will her schtick be when GWB is out of office? It was just awful, unfunny no matter who she bashes - mean-spirited describes it.
Comment by SOPHIA — April 30, 2007 @ 6:26 pm
Give this woman the job. She was great!
Comment by John — April 30, 2007 @ 6:40 pm
So let me get this straight, It’s fine when Imus calls people Nappy headed hoes, but Stephanie picking on Republicans is too mean-spirited to listen to. Are you kidding me??
Comment by Randy — April 30, 2007 @ 6:41 pm
no it is not ok what Imus did, even though I watched his show every day unless it was a rerun and I was forced to watch something else. I will hand it to the liberals that Bush is a terrible president, but I am still so sick and tired of all the Bush Bashing and The America bashing, lets get FNC bashing, as I said before “Can’t we all get along and focus on something else, like the price of gas, oops I forgot that has to do with Bush and Cheney..
Comment by cathy — April 30, 2007 @ 6:58 pm

Bush does NOT equal America. Can we please stop equating criticizing a PERSON with criticizine a nation? Thank you in advance.
Comment by Arthur — April 30, 2007 @ 7:20 pm
Stephanie Miller has by far the best radio show in the world, and she will definitely would help the ratings out at MSNBC if they give her a chance. I would definitely watch every morning if she was on.
Comment by Robert — April 30, 2007 @ 7:24 pm
Arthur, you are exactly right! Let me ask these people who throw out these accusations this. When you all critiicized the Clinton administration..were you bashing America?
Comment by myview — April 30, 2007 @ 7:39 pm
She was great- we need to get more commentators like her to show the country the criminals we have in the White House!!!
Comment by Mark — April 30, 2007 @ 7:45 pm
If MSNBC is trying to make itself into the non-stop Bush-Bashing network, people will tune out quickly. Hearing nothing but negativity all the time is a turn-off. I wouldn’t want to get up and hear that first thing in the morning.
Comment by Goldfish — April 30, 2007 @ 7:58 pm
I am in mourning since Imus left. I thought stephanie was terrible. I could only watch for a few minutes. It was embarassing to watch, to much sound effects, and very idiotic humor. I dont think anyone with an IQ of over 90 will watch it. I didnt care for the guy last week either, don’t even remeber his name. I loved to watch Imus especially when something happened the day before. I always felt like I new what was going in the word, including sports when I watched Imus. I have started to become a CNN fan and I watch CNN in the mornings, afternoons and now the evening.

I quit watching Don Imus for the same reasons I won’t watch this woman. They are just mean=spirited PERIOD. Both of them. I don’t care for George Bush either but respect the office and it ticks me off when someone like these people do nothing but bash them. MSNBC will sink further downhill if they use these people because it will be all liberal, all the time. Yeah right - Tucker and Joe Scarborough are conservatives and pigs fly.

Put Rush Limbaugh on every morning.Beat MSNBC would be number 1 for those 3 hours every morning!!
Comment by phil — April 30, 2007 @ 9:49 pm
She was dreadful. I can’t believe the people here praising her. She was God-awful! It was like watching a slow-motion train wreck. I kept flipping back to make sure it was as bad as I thought it was. No, it was worse. I’m sure that the liberals will flood MSNBC with favorable comments about her but they are out of their minds if they hire her. She was stiff, not funny, and the sound effects were amateurish at best. That may work on radio but it did NOT translate into good t.v. Knock Imus if you like but at least he had interesting guests: writers, politicans, journalists, etc. This woman seemed way too amused with herself and based on what, I have no idea.
And future Mrs. Keith Olbermann? Please, she’s about 30 years too old for that job title!
Comment by Alison — April 30, 2007 @ 9:54 pm
Terrible show for mornings on the East Coast. Maybe it is good for those driving to work in California to prevent road rage in that traffic, but East Coasters want some substance. Imus had a lot more substance on his show than he was given credit for. This would work for a half hour, not a second more and I’d not even watch that long.
Comment by Jay — April 30, 2007 @ 10:19 pm
I have made several posts out here and nothing has changed for me…I still want Imus back on the air.But I am also a realist, and I know he will never be back on MSNBC,end of story!Look folks…Stephanie was not that bad, thats the straight dope…and if those ratings show a significant increase in the next few days, were talking at least 250 to 350 thousand viewers…she is gonna get the gig, mark my words!
Comment by BernieO — April 30, 2007 @ 10:44 pm
Before Imus was fired he was sent a note of congratulations from Dan Abrams for beating CNN’s American Morning. Since then, MSNBC’s ratings are down—not only in the AM–but across the board. Coincidence? I don’t think so, since I am one of the many Imus fans who has disassociated myself from
NBC completely. It doesn’t matter who you try in the AM slot—the ratings will never be as high as they were with Imus and his talented troupe.
Comment by cr — April 30, 2007 @ 11:13 pm
She was great. She uses humor instead of the usual vitroil talk show hosts use (though those that live inside the propaganda bubble might not see it that way). She’s a breath of fresh air and Jim and Chris are great.
Comment by Mike — April 30, 2007 @ 11:31 pm
Wait a minute, what evidence cr do you have that MNSBC’s ratings are down across the board since Imus left?
Comment by Randy — April 30, 2007 @ 11:35 pm
Unless they simulcast the Today Show.
Comment by erljr — April 30, 2007 @ 11:49 pm
I gotta chime in here for the people out there who are clueless about the Imus ratings…Imus was occasionally beating CNN in the months of Jan,Feb,Mar,and of course those last few shows in April,The Imus Show had actually peaked to over 600 Hundred Thousand viewers…you know the old saying”Everyone Wants To See a Car Crash”.By the way,MSNBC at 6-9 Am has about 175 Thousand Viewers…Lets see how Stephanie does this week?
Comment by BernieO — May 1, 2007 @ 12:01 am
But not counting Imus and his timeslot, I dont understand where somebody gets that MSNBC is down across the board.
Comment by Randy — May 1, 2007 @ 12:18 am
Stephanie Miller was just plain awful. Doesn’t MSNBC have enough left-wing windbags without adding yet another? This network is an embarrassment.
Comment by spiffo — May 1, 2007 @ 1:04 am
I only miss Imus for the music. Stephanie was terrific, funny, and I, like over 60% of the nation don’t think she’s hard enough on Bush and Republicans.
How nice not to have to watch some old coot endlessly patting himself on the back for turning his ranch into a tax-deduction by exposing children with cancer to his horse manure, or pimping his wife’s home remedys.
Imus wasn’t fit to absorb the sweat under Stephanies armpits.
Comment by sgary — May 1, 2007 @ 8:17 am
the evidence ratings are DOWN sunshine are in the nightly news. abc continues to beat brian williams. imus continues…………………..
Comment by robb ganje — May 1, 2007 @ 8:27 am
Maybe they want Stephanie so as to make KO look reasonable.
Comment by Jim — May 1, 2007 @ 8:36 am
Miller is a vast improvement over Smerconish. She, at least, listens to the people she talks to, Smerconish did not. He was smarming them out of one side of his mouth and lecturing them out of the other.
I hope she gets the job, we sure as heck don’t need another happy-talk morning show. I’m sure better guests would come if she had the MSNBC platform to offer them. Her crew is very funny, and she is quick, funny and …… dare I say it ……. articulate. She would go a long way to ease my Imus withdrawal.

After watching this train wreck, I am starting to miss IMUS.
And I hated IMUS.
I was also truly surprised at the shallowness of the her program. She had no substance whatsoever.
Total waste of time. Won’t view her again.
Comment by gb — May 1, 2007 @ 9:56 am
Randy, I got the information from this very web site—just go to the ratings link and they show that despite the high ratings for the democratic debate, ratings as a whole have decreased. In fact, in one item the question is raised whether the loss of Imus contributed to the overall downturn.
Comment by cr — May 1, 2007 @ 10:04 am
Hideously unwatchable. She talks way too fast (as do many female TV anchors/personalities & I’m a woman!) & the “sidekick” trying to do impressions was pathetic. Give the poor guy a TelePrompter! Plus the apparent perspiration stains on Stephanie’s shirt–not good. Forget it, there is NO “replacement” for Imus - he’s a unique, smart, funny, & yes, irascible man who deserves a second chance!! Bring back Imus!!!!!

Comment by cindy feldman — May 1, 2007 @ 10:39 am
I thought she would be a lot better, but I guess I only listened to her show once in a while and in short bursts, now I know why.
I do not know why liberals have to stoop the the FNC mentality? For ex: She made fun of how Malkin wasn’t covering “news” stories. But what does that say about Stephanie? She’s wasting time covering another channel’s wasting of time. It like when Olbermann bashes O’Reilly, who cares? And all the cheesey sound effects remind me of bad 80’s radio.
Comment by Obama in 08! — May 1, 2007 @ 11:15 am
She’s not funny. Her comments have no substance whatsoever and her voice is shrill and screechy. And guess what? There’s a PR campaign on the liberal websites to get her hired. So if you dislike her show as much as I do, write MSNBC and let them know EXACTLY what you think of her: viewerservices@msnbc.com. Or go to the msnbc.com website and click on the “contact” information at the bottom of the page.

****Bush does NOT equal America. Can we please stop equating criticizing a PERSON with criticizine a nation? ****
Quite true, in some circumstances. Saying that “we” have killed a half-million Iraqi citizens & then saying that you’re blaming Bush, though, doesn’t wash. Saying that “we” are torturing & then saying that you really blame Bush and his policies doesn’t wash. Saying that “we” have lost our stature but that it’s really just because of Bush doesn’t wash, though. Having a notion that fighting the enemy equals defeating the GOP instead of Islamists certainly doesn’t help, either.
Hey, a few good words about the USA would go a long way. When was the last time someone like Stephanie Miller uttered good words about the country? Oh, she can’t, because that may hurt her party…..and, sadly, in some quarters (both sides, too) the party trumps the nation. Deal.
Comment by RW — May 1, 2007 @ 11:51 am
***It like when Olbermann bashes O’Reilly, who cares? ***
The crazy moonbat blue-blog left cares. That’s his base (as well as his primary source for info).

She made fun of how Malkin wasn’t covering “news” stories. But what does that say about Stephanie? She’s wasting time covering another channel’s wasting of time.
Obama: This is exactly what Miller, and also her Air America counterparts do on radio. It is almost like they can’t stand on their own two feet politically and intellectually.
As their radio ratings indicated, it gets old very fast!
Comment by Ira — May 1, 2007 @ 12:09 pm
I saw a split second of her program this morning, and the guy doing the voices was horrific. He was supposed to be doing Rush, and didn’t even come close.
And everyone is talking about how poor MSNBC’s ratings have been since Imus was fired. Does anyone know whether the radio audience has declined as well?
Comment by Missy — May 1, 2007 @ 1:16 pm
Missy: The quarterly radio ratings were just released for New York City and overall WFAN, Imus flagship station, was down from 2.2 to 2.1, basically insignificant.
Normally individual show ratings are not disclosed to the public.
Comment by Ira — May 1, 2007 @ 3:32 pm
OK, thanks Ira!
Comment by Missy — May 1, 2007 @ 6:53 pm
The radio ratings were probably still strong because it was the closest one could get to hearing ANY news about Imus. I don’t live in the N.Y. area, but if I could hear WFAN, I would have listened too!!
However, MSNBC’s are down due to the lasting anger over their betrayl of Imus.
Comment by cr — May 1, 2007 @ 7:59 pm
Train wreck is the correct term. MSNBC and the sponsors listened to the wrong people. They should have (maybe) listened to their CUSTOMERS. Capus should get another promotion so he can put the entire network out of business. GE is rumored to be spinning them off (out).
Comment by M.M. — May 1, 2007 @ 8:54 pm
This was my first and last listen to the loud, nasty person. She ruined my morning. I turned it off. I miss Imus and the gang.
Comment by Diane — May 1, 2007 @ 9:19 pm
I am loving the show. I’ve never heard of her, but the show was funny and a nice change of pace from the usual majority of right wing shows. If they kept this show, that would be two shows on cable news that aren’t right wing blowhards.
And as for all those people who echo Rush Limbaugh saying people don’t wanna hear people bashing the President every day, how do you think Rush made his radio “empire”? His popularity came from bashing Clinton and the Democrats every day during the 90s. Of course no one called them America haters then because it’s a stupid argument.
Comment by coop — May 2, 2007 @ 9:04 am
Stephanie Miller was hands-down the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on TV. MSNBC, please keep her!
Comment by B.N. — May 2, 2007 @ 12:09 pm
She was really funny & smart.
I couldn’t understand a word Imus said, he was too old anyway. Time for someone younger.
Comment by Shirley P — May 2, 2007 @ 3:55 pm
She came off quite well considering the circumstances! She came to Jersey “red-eyed” to an unfamiliar environment and still she kind of pulled it off! There’s no doubt in my mind that the more air time MSNBC affords Stephanie Miller, the more she will hone her progam to something that will attract the majority of the displaced Imus viewers/listeners, like myself, who have awakened with the Iman for years.
Comment by C.P.J. — May 2, 2007 @ 6:52 pm
I love her. I have been listening for over a year. I am college educated and I find her pretty quick and less abrasive than many on the radio. Those who don’t know her should give her time prove herself. Like Bush wants time for Iraq newest surge to work.
She is a former Repbublican daughter of a VP Candidate. She thinks civility has gone from the Republican party her father and Goldwater would turn in their graves to see what has become of their Grand Old Party.
