Jewish group wants Lou Dobbs fired…
The New York Sun’s Josh Gerstein writes about controversy that’s erupted around Lou Dobbs over comments he made on the air…
In a broadcast last week, Mr. Dobbs denounced immigrant-rights groups for portraying a crackdown on illegal immigration as a threat to foreigners who live in America legally.
“They might as well work for Herman Göring,” Mr. Dobbs said. “I mean, they’re running so much propaganda, trying to confuse the debate, the national dialogue, by talking about immigrants rather than illegal aliens and legal immigrants. It’s mindless beyond belief.”
A spokeswoman for CNN, Christa Robinson, did not respond directly to the call for Mr. Dobbs’s ouster. However, she said his rhetoric was directed at those promoting sanctuary for illegal immigrants, such as Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco.
” Lou Dobbs’s expression of outrage was not directed toward anyone except the officials of San Francisco. Any offense taken by any other group was certainly not intended,” Ms. Robinson said in a statement last night.
UPDATE: Extreme Mortman weighs in here…
Mindless beyond belief is right. Oh, I thought we were talking about Dobbs.

“Comparisons to N*zis — especially in this day and age — are abhorrent,” the president and CEO of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Gideon Aronoff, said in a statement yesterday.
Seems like anybody with a blog and two readers can start a group and get quoted in the newspapers!

I don’t think Lou Dobbs intended to use those comments as anti-Semitic sentiments. As the CNN spokewoman said, his remarks were directed mainly at those who would manipulate the current illegal aliens’ drive to give them an amnesty
when, instead, they should all be deported. There are laws in this country, and they ought to be enforced strictly.
Mayor Gavin Newsom of San Francisco is a traitor to his country when he said his city is a sanctuary, and that he would not allow any city official to report those who came to this country illegally. A misguided official like Newsom ought to be booted out. Maybe he needs to live in Mexico with his pal, Vicente Fox. Newsom, for those who have been following the news, was the same guy who confessed to sleeping with his chief campaign officer’s wife. No wonder he thinks the way he does.

Oh, please - can we stop with the traitor-calling? I think we need a new godwin’s law on that.
and wrt: Newsom, for those who have been following the news, was the same guy who confessed to sleeping with his chief campaign officer’s wife. No wonder he thinks the way he does.
No offense, but WTF??

The immigration debate will never stop until anybody, at anytime, can enter the US for any reason, without any requirements whatsoever, no ID, etc. and receive full medical benefits, full disability, and all rights afforded a US citizen, and pay no taxes. Then “they” will think of something else they have to have. Wait 20 years, and see if this is not true.
